The Macedonian Women's Handball Cup ( mk, Ракометен куп на Македонија), is an elimination handball tournament held annually in North Macedonia since 1993. It is the second most important national title in Macedonian handball after the Macedonian First League. Kometal Gjorče Petrov holds the record for most titles won with 16. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. ŽRK Kumanovo
ŽRK Kumanovo is a women's handball club from Kumanovo in North Macedonia. ŽRK Kumanovo competes in the Super Liga. They have won the Macedonian cup title in 2019. Next year they won the Macedonian Championship 2020. History Kumanovo always had a great handball team that competed on a very high level. They were always at top 4 teams during the decades since its establishment. They've won the first title back in 1980s. After many years of dominance of the Skopjes clubs in the league WHC Kumanovo broke through and won the cup title in 2019. Then they got the champions title after 40 years in season 2019-20. WHC Gjorche Petrov ( mk, Ракометен Клуб Ѓорче Петров) is a female Team handball, handball club based in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. History The club was founded in 1979 under the name ''Women's Handball Club Gjorče Petrov''. Kometal Gjorče Petrov stopped its work on 16 September 2011 when the central committee decided that there was no conditions for operation and existence. After a while the club started to work again.It was shut for couple of years but it started working again, without its brand-mark Kometal. ŽRK Vardar ( mk, ЖРК Вардар) is a Macedonian women's handball club from Skopje, North Macedonia. The team currently competes in the Macedonian women's First League of Handball, Women’s Regional Handball League and used to be a top competitor in the Women's EHF Champions League. History *The Beginning WHC Vardar was founded in 1961, as part of the Vardar Sports Club in Skopje, which had been founded in 1947. WHC Grafichar Skopje club was established in 1948, and it was the top quality team at the time. They won many titles including the last one in 1960 before the fusion. WHC Metalurg ( mk, ЖРК Металург) is a women's team handball, handball club from Skopje, North Macedonia. The team currently competes in the Macedonian women's First League of Handball. History The club was established in 1964 under the name MIK and played in the amateur handball league of Socialist Republic of Macedonia, SR Macedonia.
