''Macabre Caberet'' is an EP by My Dying Bride, released in CD and vinyl formats via Nuclear Blast on 20 November 2020. Background Frontman Aaron Stainthorpe said of the album: Macabre Cabaret delves into the shadow empire of dark love and the consequences of unchecked sexuality. My Dying Bride
My Dying Bride are an English doom metal band formed in Bradford. Since their inception in 1990, they have released 13 studio albums, three EPs, one demo, one box set, four compilation albums, one live album, and one live CD/DVD release. Along with Anathema and Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride were a forerunner of the death doom metal and gothic metal genres during the early 1990s. These bands comprise "The Peaceville Three" as all were signed to Peaceville Records at the time. History Early years (1990–1992) My Dying Bride was formed in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, in June 1990, after guitarist Andrew Craighan and drummer Rick Miah co-formed the band after they had split from Abiosis, joining vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe and guitarist Calvin Robertshaw while ending Abiosis. Andrew Craighan
Andrew Craighan (born 18 July 1970) is one of My Dying Bride's founding guitarists. Along with Aaron Stainthorpe Aaron Stainthorpe (born 12 November 1968) is an English singer who is the lead vocalist for doom metal band My Dying Bride. In December 2005, it was announced that Stainthorpe would lend his voice and some lyrics to a song with Sarah Jezebel ..., they are the only original members of the band still in the lineup. He played the guitar from 1989 to 1990 in the band Abiosis. On My Dying Bride's official website he lists his favourite My Dying Bride album as 1999's '' The Light at the End of the World''. Jeff Singer
Jeff Singer (born 31 March 1971) is a British drummer, currently for the bands My Dying Bride (2018–present), Soldierfield (2012–present) and Kill II This (who reformed in 2016), and formerly for the bands China Beach (1992–1994), Blaze Bayley, Blaze (1999–2003), City of God (2004–2006) and Paradise Lost (band), Paradise Lost. Singer auditioned to be in Paradise Lost in 1994 after Matthew Archer quit, but was not chosen – because of having a pink drum kit. In 2004, when Paradise Lost's drummer Lee Morris (musician), Lee Morris (the drummer who beat Singer in the Audition for the spot in the band in '94) quit, Singer was finally chosen to be in the band, which was conflicting for him as he was to be the drummer for another British Metal band Rise To Addiction, but committed to Paradise Lost just in time to play on the band's ''Forever After'' single, as the band were about to record it. Shaun MacGowan (born May 13 1988) is a UK-born violinist, keyboardist and guitarist, best known as the keyboardist and violinist of British doom metal band My Dying Bride. He replaced Katie Stone in 2009, and joined the band to tour the album '' For Lies I Sire''. His first studio appearance with the group came on the 2009 EP '' Bring Me Victory'', on which he played two tracks. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family.
