Socrate Petteng (born April 23, 1979), better known as Mac Tyer (), is a French rapper of Cameroonian descent, from Aubervilliers, Île-de-France The Île-de-France (, ; literally "Isle of France") is the most populous of the eighteen regions of France. He was also member of Perestroika, a rap/hip hop trio made up of Mac Tyer, Mac Kregor (real name Makenzy Guerrier), also from Aubervilliers, France but of Haitian descent and Dontcha. The band was formed in 1999, and active initially for one year, with very rare appearances later on. With Dontcha opting to continue on a solo career, Mac Tyer and Mac Kregor turned it into a rap duo renaming it Tandem in 2000. Abderraouf Derradji ( ar, عبد الرؤوف درّاجي; born 10 December 1989), known professionally as Soolking, is an Algerian singer and rapper. He started his career under the pseudonym MC Sool until 2013 before adopting his new stage name. He incorporates reggae, soul, hip hop and Algerian raï in his music. Life and career Derradji was born in Algeria in a northern suburb of the capital Algiers, also known as Staouali. His father was a percussionist and he started very young in a rock band incorporating music and dance. He arrived in France in 2008, but returned to Algeria to be included in the Algerian rap formation Africa Jungle. The band released two albums. ''#93 Empire'' is a French hip hop compilation joining some 40 hip hop artists mostly from Seine-Saint-Denis, released on 5 October 2018. French rapper Sofiane wrote the lead single from the album and who launched the project. The album sold 130,000 copies and was certified platinum.
