Maboundou Koné (born 16 May 1997) is a track and field athlete from the Ivory Coast who competes as a sprinter. Career She was part of the Ivory Coast 4x100m relay team that ran 42.23 seconds to win the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne. In August 2023, she set a new personal best time for the 200 meters of 22.53 seconds in Kinshasa. Selected for the 200 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023, she qualified for the semi-finals. She ran as part of the Ivory Coast 4x100m relay team, which qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics at the 2024 World Relays Championships in Nassau, Bahamas in May 2024. Ivory Coast, also known as Côte d'Ivoire, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country on the southern coast of West Africa. 2024 Diamond League
The 2024 Diamond League is the fifteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events is 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings. Gonezie Marie Josée Dominique Ta Lou (born 18 November 1988) is an Ivorian sprinter competing in the 100 metres and 200 m. She finished fourth in the 100 metres and 200 metres finals at the 2016 Olympic Games, missing out on a medal in the 100m by seven-thousandths of a second (0.007). She then won silver medals in the 100 metres and 200 metres at the 2017 World Championships, the latter in the national record time of 22.08 secs. Her 100 metres best is 10.72 secs (2022), thus making her the African record holder.
