Maardu Linnameeskond
Maardu Linnameeskond is a football club based in Maardu, Estonia. The team compete in the II liiga, the fourth tier of the Estonian football league system. They adopted their current name in 2016, before being promoted to the Estonian top tier Meistriliiga for the first time in 2019. They were relegated the following season and played in Esiliiga for the next two seasons. After winning 2021 Esiliiga they should have been promoted to Meistriliiga, but due to financial reasons they waived the opportunity and were relegated to II liiga, taking their reserve squad's place. Maardu Stadium
Maardu (german: Maart) is a town and a municipality in Harju County, Estonia. It is part of Tallinn metropolitan area. The town covers an area of 22.76 km² and has a population of 16,170 (as of 1 January 2021). The Port of Muuga, the largest cargo port in Estonia, is partly located in Maardu. According to the 2000 Census, the population was 16,738. 61.7% were Russians, 19.9% Estonians, 6.6% Ukrainians, 5.7% Belarusians, 1.5% Tatars, 0.9% Finns, 0.6% Poles, 0.5% Lithuanians, 0.2% Latvians, 0.2% Germans and 0.1% Jews and 1 Cuban. The proportion of Estonians was one of the lowest (if not the lowest) in Central and Western Estonia. Outside the town (in Maardu village), south of the road to Narva lies Maardu manor, one of the oldest preserved baroque manor houses in Estonia. It traces its origins to 1389, but the current building dates from the 1660s with additions made in the 19th century. Vitali Teleš
Vitali Teleš (born 17 October 1983 in Tallinn) is an Estonian footballer who plays for Estonian club Maardu Linnameeskond as a goalkeeper. Club career TVMK Tallinn After TVMK was disbanded Teleš was about to retire of professional football and return to TJK as an amateur, but then got a chance to play in Finnish Veikkausliiga for FF Jaro. FF Jaro He made his league debut for FF Jaro on 31 May 2009 in a 5–1 win against JJK. JK Nõmme Kalju On 23 January 2012, it was announced that Teleš had signed a one-year contract with JK Nõmme Kalju. He made the league debut for the club on 10 March 2012, in a goalless draw against city rivals FC Levadia Tallinn. In September 2012, he signed a new contract until the end of 2014 season. Teleš was one of three players to play every single minute of the 2012 league season, others being teammate Ken Kallaste and JK Sillamäe Kalev goalkeeper Mihhail Starodubtsev. 2007–08 Estonian Cup
Estonian Cup 2007–08 ( et, Eesti Karikas) was the twenty-first season of the Estonian football knockout tournament. Winners of the cup qualified for the UEFA Cup 2008–09 second qualifying round. The defending champion, Levadia, was knocked out in the semi-final in a penalty shoot-out against Flora. The competition culminated with the final held at Kadrioru Stadium, Tallinn on 13 May 2008 with Flora taking the title 3 – 1. It was broadcast by Kalev Sport. All in all, 71 teams took part of the competition. First round Only seven games were played in the first round, to take the number of teams down from 71 to 64, other 57 teams got byes. The Estonian Cup ( et, Eesti Karikas) is the national knockout competition in Estonian football. In 2012, the competition was unofficially rebranded as Evald Tipner's Cup.
