Maa Gopi
''Maa Gopi'' is a 1954 Telugu language film directed by B. S. Ranga. The film stars V. Nagayya, G. Varalakshmi, Vallam Narasimha Rao, Jamuna. The film was dubbed into Tamil as ''Jaya Gopi'' and released in 1955. The film was a remake of 1953 Hindi film ''Bhagyawan'' and its Marathi version ''Soubhagya''. Ranga also planned to dub it into Kannada and engaged his friend and popular writer Chi. Sadasivaiah to pen the dialogue. But for some reason he gave up the idea. In 1981, Sadasivaiah's lyricist-son Chi. Udayashankar suggested to Kannada matinee idol Rajkumar to remake Maa Gopi. Ranga himself directed the Kannada version, titled '' Bhagyavantha'' introducing Rajkumar's youngest son Master Lohit Puneeth Rajkumar in the title role. This too was a big hit. Kovvali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao
Kovvali was a popular novelist of Telugu language in the early 20th century. He is one of the most prolific writer of modern Telugu language. His full name is Kovvali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao (1912–1975), born in Tanuku. According to some sources, Kovvali has written over a 1000 Novels, which is a record not surpassed by any Telugu writer till now. These novels were extremely popular with the public and known as "Railway Literature". The period from 1935 to 1975, when Romantic movement was fading, the Progressive movement was on the rise. Pithapuram Nageswara Rao
Pithapuram Nageswara Rao (5 May 1930 – 5 March 1996) was an Indian playback singer who worked in the early period of Telugu cinema. He sang thousands of songs, mostly of a comedic nature, in the 1950s and 1960s along with Madhavapeddi Satyam and others. He also sang for a couple of movies in Kannada. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935.
