Ma Ju-lung (; 1 April 1939 in Taipei – 9 June 2019 in Taipei) was a Taiwanese actor. Biography He played the stepfather of Van Fan's character Aga in the film ''Cape No. 7'', a role that won him Best Supporting Actor at the 45th Golden Horse Awards in 2008. Ma's portrayal of Geta, a triad leader in '' Monga'', won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2011 Chinese Film Media Awards. Ma backed the 2010 Taipei mayoral campaign of Eric Chu. Fan You-chen (; Amis: 林納斯 Lín Nàsī; born 3 November 1978), better known as Van Fan or Fan Yi-chen (), is a Taiwanese singer and actor with ancestry from the Amis aborigine tribe. He is best known for '' Cape No. 7'', the second top-selling film in Taiwanese cinematic history. Fan made his debut in 2002 with the Chinese version theme song ''I Believe'' to the South Korean film '' My Sassy Girl''. After a somewhat mediocre singing career, Fan started to show up in local TV series since 2005, and rose to fame in the Greater China Area in 2008 after the significant success of '' Cape No. 7'', whose two theme songs ''As Happy as Can Be'' () and ''South of Border'' () are also sung by him. A cape is a clothing accessory or a sleeveless outer garment which drapes the wearer's back, arms, and chest, and connects at the neck. Eric Chu Li-luan (; born on 7 June 1961) is a Taiwanese politician. He was born into a political family with strong Kuomintang (KMT) ties, and served as Vice Premier of the Republic of China, under Premier Wu Den-yih. Prior to this, Chu served as legislator (1999 to 2001) and as the magistrate of Taoyuan City, Taoyuan County (2001 to 2009). He was elected as the first mayor of the newly established city of New Taipei on 27 November 2010. On 17 January 2015, he was elected unopposed as Chairman of the Kuomintang, succeeding Ma Ying-jeou. On 17 October 2015, he was chosen as KMT candidate for the 2016 Republic of China general election, 2016 presidential election replacing incumbent candidate Hung Hsiu-chu. Chu was defeated by his opponent Tsai Ing-wen, and subsequently resigned his post as KMT chairman. He was succeeded as mayor of New Taipei by Hou You-yi in 2018.
