M Cream
''M Cream'' is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language road film written and directed by Agneya Singh. It follows the exploits of four rebellious friends who set out on a road trip in pursuit of a mythical drug. The film was screened at the Rhode Island International Film Festival where it received the Grand Prize for Best Feature Film. PVR Pictures released ''M Cream'' in theatres across India on July 22, 2016. The worldwide distribution rights were subsequently acquired by Netflix. Agneya Singh is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter. He is best known for writing and directing '' M Cream''. Life and career Early life Agneya Singh was born in New Delhi, India on 21 July 1989. After working as a photographer and documentary filmmaker, Singh enrolled in NYU Tisch School of the Arts. It was during this time that he assisted filmmaker Lynne Sachs and worked as a projectionist in the experimental Film/TV department at New York University. His student films and videos have been screened in New York at Anthology Film Archives. Shubha Mudgal (born 1 January 1959) is an Indian singer of Hindustani classical music. Her repertoire includes the genres of khyal, thumri, dadra, and Indian pop. She has received the Padma Shri in 2000. Early life Shubha was born in Allahabad into an academic family. Her parents, Skand Gupta and Jaya Gupta, were both professors of English literature at Allahabad University, and both of them had a deep interest in Hindustani classical music and kathak. Malana is an ancient Indian village in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The only village in the Malana Nala, a side valley of the Parvati Valley northeast of the Kullu Valley, it is isolated from the rest of the world.
