Yolande Zauberman
Yolande Zauberman () is a French film director and screenwriter. Career She made her debut in cinema working alongside Amos Gitai. In 1987 she directed her first documentary ''Classified People'', dealing with apartheid in South Africa, which won the Paris Film Festival Grand Prize. Her second documentary, ''Criminal Caste'' (1989), was shot in India, and selected at the Cannes Film Festival. Three years later, she directed her first feature film, ''Me Ivan, You Abraham'', winning the Youth Award at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival, and the Golden St. George at the 18th Moscow International Film Festival. Then followed her two films ''Clubbed to Death'' (1996) and ''The War in Paris'' (2001) starring Elodie Bouchez, which were both distributed throughout the world. Locarno Film Festival
The Locarno Film Festival is an annual film festival, held every August in Locarno, Switzerland. Founded in 1946, the festival screens films in various competitive and non-competitive sections, including feature-length narrative, documentary, short, avant-garde, and retrospective programs. Bnei Brak or Bene Beraq ( he, בְּנֵי בְּרַק ) is a city located on the central Mediterranean Sea, Mediterranean Israeli coastal plain, coastal plain in Israel, just east of Tel Aviv. History In 1995, director Marcel Ophüls protested that his film, the documentary Vigils of Arms: A History of Wartime Journalism on the Bosnian War, was eligible only in the usual categories as a work of fiction.
