Two motor ships have borne the name ''Norsel'': * was a 592-ton Norwegian sealer launched as ''Lyngdalsfjord'' on 10 April 1945, by Kaldnes Mekaniske Verksted in Tønsberg, Norway. Kaldnes Mekaniske Verksted was a Norwegian manufacturing company, which it best known for its shipyard. It was founded in 1899, and was engaged in shipbuilding until 1992. It continued as a truck manufacturer until 2001. Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Tønsberg. The city is the most populous metropolis in the district of Vestfold with a population of 52,419 in 2019.
