MV Nimpkish
MV ''Nimpkish'' is an formerly owned by BC Ferries. It is long, holds 12 vehicles and 95 passengers, and its maximum speed is . ''Nimpkish'' entered service with the Ministry of Transportation's Salt Water division in 1973, and was built in Vancouver to serve the inter-island routes. The vessel was transferred to BC Ferries in 1985. It formerly did runs on the Discovery Coast Connector service, a summer-only route linking Port Hardy, Bella Bella, Shearwater, Klemtu, Ocean Falls and Bella Coola. Passenger amenities on-board are sparse, with only seating and a washroom available. It was Auctioned by BC ferries in 2019 and bought by Mike Buttle Services. It currently runs by the name the "Mid Coaster" and has joined Mike's other former BC ferry "The Buttle Shuttle" (formerly the mill bay ferry) as part of his fleet. Nimpkish Lake Provincial Park
Nimpkish Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park on northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada on Vancouver Island. The park is 3,949 ha. in area and was established on 1995. It is 32 km south of Port McNeill and on the southwest side of Nimpkish Lake. Primary access is by boat launch, though radio-controlled logging roads lead to the edge of the park. Western Forest Products in Woss, British Columbia should be contacted for road advisories. The park is in the traditional territory of the Namgis First Nation. The M/V ''Nimpkish'' in the BC Ferries fleet is named after the lake. Klemtu is an unincorporated community on Swindle Island in the coastal fjords of British Columbia, Canada. It is located on Kitasoo Indian Reserve No. 1. Klemtu is the home of the Kitasoo tribe of Tsimshians, originally from Kitasu Bay, and the Xai'xais of Kynoch Inlet, extends eastward from Queen Charlotte Sound, approximately at . It is adjacent to the Fiordland Conservancy. These two tribes live together as, and are jointly governed by, the Kitasoo/Xai'xais Nation. Traditional languages spoken at Klemtu are the southern dialect of the Tsimshian language, called Southern Tsimshian, and Xaixais, a dialect of the Heiltsuk language. In religious affiliation, the community is dominated by the United Church of Canada. MV Northern Sea Wolf
The MV ''Northern Sea Wolf'' is a roll-on/roll-off (RORO) ferry operated by BC Ferries in British Columbia, Canada. Her normal sailing schedule is five days a week during the peak summer season on the Inside Passage route connecting Bella Coola, British Columbia, Bella Coola and Port Hardy. The route normally takes about ten hours to complete. Her schedule calls for one trip per day during daylight hours to maximize passenger enjoyment of the scenery. Lack of sufficient crew accommodation limits voyage to 12 hours per day precluding travel for indigenous tourism to the outer coast towns without a multiple days or week visit.
