MTV Europe Music Award For Best Video
The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Video is an award category presented at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The award was first presented in 1994 under the name Best Director, awarded to Whale's "Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe". This is the only MTV EMA award - excluding special awards - whose winner is chosen by MTV, rather than by the public. "Hey Ya!", " Born This Way" and "Havana" are the only music videos to also win Best Song. The artists with the most wins are Katy Perry, Justice, Massive Attack and Taylor Swift with two wins each. Taylor Swift is the artist with the most nominations, with six. Swift and Kendrick Lamar are the only performers to have won the award for a video they co-directed: Lamar for " Humble" in 2017 and Swift for "Me!" in 2019. 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards
The 2019 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) was held at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville, Spain, on 3 November 2019. The ceremony's host was Becky G. This was the fourth year, as well as the second consecutive year, that Spain hosted the ceremony. It was also the first time a country hosted back-to-back editions. Ariana Grande was nominated for seven awards, followed by Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and Shawn Mendes, who were each nominated for six. BTS won three awards, becoming the most awarded act of the night, followed by Taylor Swift, Halsey and Eilish, who each won two. In association with the EMAs, an event called MTV Music Week was organised, which run from 31 October to 2 November at different locations throughout the city. "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)" is a song by rock band U2. It is the fifth track on their 1993 album, ''Zooropa'', and was released as the album's third single on 22 November 1993. The song reached number one in Ireland and reached the top 10 in Australia, Iceland, the United Kingdom, and several other countries. The music video was shot in Berlin, Germany. The earliest incarnation of the song developed during sessions for the group's 1991 album ''Achtung Baby''. It was written for and inspired by Frank Sinatra and bore his surname as the original working title. An alternative recording was used in the Wim Wenders film ''Faraway, So Close!.'' Julien Temple (born 26 November 1953) is a British film, documentary and music video director. Enigma (band)
Enigma is a German musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu. Cretu had released several solo records, collaborated with various artists, and produced albums for his then-wife, German pop singer Sandra, before he conceived the idea of a new-age, worldbeat project. He recorded the first Enigma studio album, '' MCMXC a.D.'' (1990), with contributions from David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. The album remains Enigma's most successful, helped by the international hit single "Sadeness (Part I)", which sold twelve million units alone. Adam H. Spiegel (born October 22, 1969), known professionally as Spike Jonze, is an American filmmaker, actor, musician, and photographer. Beastie Boys were an American rap rock group from New York City, formed in 1978. The group was composed of Mike D, Michael "Mike D" Diamond (vocals, drums), Adam Yauch, Adam "MCA" Yauch (vocals, bass), and Ad-Rock, Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz (vocals, guitar, Programming (music), programming).
