2019 MTV Europe Music Awards
The 2019 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) was held at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville, Spain, on 3 November 2019. The ceremony's host was Becky G. This was the fourth year, as well as the second consecutive year, that Spain hosted the ceremony. It was also the first time a country hosted back-to-back editions. Ariana Grande was nominated for seven awards, followed by Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and Shawn Mendes, who were each nominated for six. BTS won three awards, becoming the most awarded act of the night, followed by Taylor Swift, Halsey and Eilish, who each won two. In association with the EMAs, an event called MTV Music Week was organised, which run from 31 October to 2 November at different locations throughout the city. FIBES Conference And Exhibition Centre
The Conference and Exhibition Centre of Seville ( es, Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Sevilla), usually referred to as FIBES or Fibes, is a conference and exhibition centre in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. The centre consists of two buildings, FIBES I and FIBES II, which are connected by a footbridge. History In the 1980s, FIBES (an acronym that stands for ''Feria Iberoamericana de Sevilla'', Spanish for ''Ibero-American Exhibition of Seville''), an entity that organized congresses and exhibitions in Seville, promoted a permanent venue for their activities, and in 1989, FIBES moved to the building purposely designed by Álvaro Navarro Jiménez. The Plaza de España ("Spain Square", in English) is a plaza in the Parque de María Luisa (''Maria Luisa Park''), in Seville, Spain. It was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.
