The Rhein Fire are an American football team in Düsseldorf, Germany. They play in the European League of Football (ELF) since 2022 expansion. History On 25 September 2021, the Rhein Fire were announced as third expansion and eleventh overall teams to play in the European League of Football from season 2022. The team would be taking the identity of the former NFL Europe team, after the league reached an agreement before the 2021 season with the National Football League, NFL for the naming rights. World Games 2005
The 2005 World Games (german: Weltspiele 2005), the seventh World Games, were an international multi-sport event held in Duisburg, Germany from 14 July 2005 until 24 July 2005. Three other cities, namely Bottrop, Mülheim an der Ruhr, and Oberhausen, also held some of the competition events. More than 3,000 athletes competed in 31 official sports and 6 invitational sports. The World Games are an international multi-sport event comprising sports and sporting disciplines that are not contested in the Olympic Games. They are usually held every four years, one year after a Summer Olympic Games, over the course of 11 days. The World Games are governed by the International World Games Association, under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. In the most recent editions, between 25 and 34 sports have been included in the official programme.
