Manjusri Secondary School
Manjusri Secondary School (MJR) is a co-educational government-aided secondary school in Ubi, Singapore. Named after the bodhisattva Manjusri, it was established by the Singapore Buddhist Federation in 1982 and affiliated to two primary schools: Mee Toh School and Maha Bodhi School. School history The school was set up by the Singapore Buddhist Federation in 1982 at 149 Sims Drive, Singapore 387380. In 2009, the school moved to a new campus at 20 Ubi Avenue 1 which was officially opened on 22 April 2010. The move allowed the school to share resources with its affiliated primary school, Maha Bodhi School. James Cook University Singapore currently occupies the old campus and continues to use its buildings. The school celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2012. The annual school anniversary concert was held in April 2012 at the LASALLE College of the Arts in conjunction of the school's 30th anniversary. Melbourne Jewish Radio (branded on air as Lion 96.1, later Lion 1674) was a timeshared radio station formerly broadcast on 1674 kHz in the AM narrowband from Werribee South in Melbourne's west. The station aired between 12noon Sundays and 12noon Fridays, with Surf City Sound broadcasting on the same frequency during the Shabbat period. During 2010 and 2011, Lion FM held a Temporary Community Broadcasting Licence, and broadcast from the Melbourne CBD. Mėnuo Juodaragis ( en, Black-Horned Moon or Moon of the Black Horn, sometimes abbreviated as BHM (''MJR'')) is an annual Baltic culture, alternative music, folk music and experimental music festival organized in Lithuania. It has been running since 1995 and is visited by 5,000 to 6,000 people each year, making it one of the biggest and oldest festivals in Lithuania. The festival's programme includes lectures by folklorists and historians, workshops and demonstrations by artisans (blacksmiths, leatherworkers, weavers, jewellers, dyers and others), traditional rites, historical reenactments, art exhibitions, film screenings, hikes, sports competitions and folk dancing. MJR Digital Cinemas (formerly ''MJR Theatres'') is a movie theater chain with 10 theaters in the Metro Detroit area, the company is a subsidiary of the Belgium Kinepolis Group. History MJR Theatres was created in 1970 by Mike Mihalich with the acquisition of Main Theatre (sold in 1997 and now known as the Main Art Theatre) in Royal Oak, Michigan. The name MJR was taken from their original slogan ''Movies Just Right''. During the 1980s and 1990s the company purchased several theaters and drive-ins in Michigan. Following their acquisitions the company started building their own multiplex cinemas, with the first opening in Adrian, Michigan in 1990. In order to finance the new cinemas, MJR sold some of its existing theaters and drive-ins. During the 1990s ''Luna Enterprises'' purchased an interest in the chain.
