Middlesbrough Women Football Club is an English women's football club. Founded in 1976, they currently play in the , with home games played at Bishopton Road West, Stockton. Middlesbrough WFC also have a reserve side competing in the FA Women's National League Division One North. Their home games are played at Middlesbrough College. History Middlesbrough Women Football Club was formed in 1976. Originally known as Cleveland Spartans, the club played in the Nottinghamshire Ladies League, and were coached by Middlesbrough players Mark Proctor and David Hodgson. Andy Campbell
Andrew Paul Campbell (born 18 April 1979) is an English football manager and former player who is currently manager of Middlesbrough Women. Campbell played as a striker, notably for Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Dunfermline Athletic. After retiring in 2012, he began a career in management, becoming manager of Norton & Stockton Ancients. It is the WNL's second league cup competition, played alongside the National League Cup, and is a single-elimination knock-out tournament. The Women's National League Cup is an annual English football cup competition, founded in 1991 by the Women's Football Association (WFA). It was renamed the FA Women's Premier League Cup from 1994 to 2018. The Women's FA Challenge Cup Competition is the top annual cup tournament for women's clubs in English football. Founded in 1970, it has been named the WFA Cup, FA Women's Cup and now Women's FA Cup (Vitality Women's FA Cup for sponsorship reasons). In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues.
