MCC Grounds (stadium)
The Marylebone Cricket Club Grounds (''MCC Grounds'' for short) is a Belizean football stadium, located on the Northside of Belize City, Belize. Football It has traditionally been the homefield of all Belize City clubs that participate in national and international competitions. It is currently being occupied by FC Belize of the Premier League of Belize (PLB). It also plays host to primary school and high school football competitions. History

The Grounds opened in the 1950s on the site known as the Barracks and was named after an English cricket team (Belize was a British colony). The MCC has since played host to numerous matches between City teams and visitors in the Belize Premier Football League, now the Premier League of Belize, and competitions sponsored by UNCAF and CONCACAF. It is at the mouth of the Haulover Creek, which is a distributary of the Belize River. FC Belize
FC Belize was a Belizean football team which competed in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) of the Football Federation of Belize. They were based in Belize City and last competed in 2015 before financial issues and the death of owner Lionel Welch forced them to withdraw. Their home stadium, the MCC Grounds, was closed in June 2014 by the Belize National Sports Council and FC Belize was relocated to Louisiana Football Field in Orange Walk Town. The Premier League of Belize is the highest competitive football league in Belize. It was founded on 28 December 2011 after the merger between the Belize Premier Football League and the Super League of Belize. The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (Central American Football Union), more commonly known by the acronym UNCAF, represents the national football teams of Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
