MBC Mykolaiv
Municipal Basketball Club Mykolaiv (in Ukrainian: Муніципальний Баскетбольний Клуб Миколаїв), commonly known as simply Mykolaiv, is a professional basketball team (club) of Mykolaiv, Ukraine. They currently play in the Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport. History In 2009, the team finished in fifth place in the Ukrainian Men's Basketball SuperLeague. In the 2009 NBA Draft basketball player Sergiy Gladyr was the 49th draft pick, in the second round by the Atlanta Hawks, but did not succeed in the teams' request. For the 2015–16 season, they joined the Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport. Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague
The Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague (USL) ( uk, Українська баскетбольна суперліга) is the first-tier level of professional basketball league in Ukraine. Established in 1992, the league is currently contested by 10 clubs. It is a tier above the Ukrainian Higher League and allows for one season from the Higher League each season to be promoted. The league exists out of a regular season, in which team play for playoff-seeding, followed by playoffs to determine the Ukrainian champion. Budivelnyk is the most successful team in league history with 10 titles. The winners of the Superleague qualify for the qualifying rounds of the Basketball Champions League (BCL). 2020–21 season Teams 11 teams are in the competition. Ternopil is new team in the league. Vitaliy Cherniy
Vitaliy Cherniy (born 1971) is a Ukrainian basketball coach and former player. Today he is the coach of BC Kyiv, a member of the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague, and a former head coach of Ukraine national basketball team. Career Vitaliy Cherniy was born in Kyiv, in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union (in present-day Ukraine). He played for 13 years in Ukrainian Superleague clubs. After finishing his playing career, he was the assistant of the well-known Lithuanian coach Rimantas Endrijaitis in the Ukrainian BC Sumy. He left the club in 2007 and became a temporary assistant coach of the Ukraine national basketball team. 2018–19 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague
The 2018–19 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague was the 2018–19 edition of the Ukraine, Ukrainian top-tier basketball championship. Cherkaski Mavpy were the defending champions. BC Khimik, Khimik won its third domestic title, its first one since 2015–16 SL Favorit Sport season, 2016, after beating Kyiv-Basket in the finals. Khimik's Deon Edwin was named the USL Most Valuable Player this season. Teams Eight teams joined the competition. BC Budivelnyk, Budivelnyk and BIPA Odessa were replaced by Kyiv-Basket and BC Odessa, Odesa respectively. On 21 June 2018, the Ukrainian federation announced that Budivelnyk would not participate because of its open debts to its players. The 2017–18 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague was the 2017–18 edition of the Ukrainian top-tier basketball championship. The season started on 29 September 2017. The 2014–15 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague was the 24th edition of the Ukrainian top-tier basketball championship. The season started on October 11, 2014 and ended on May 4, 2015. Because of the unrest in Ukraine, just 7 foreign players played in the league this season. BC Donetsk and BC Azovmash didn't participate this season. In the regular season, Khimik took the top seed unbeaten with a 30–0 record, and eventually took the title after winning 36 games in a row.
