MAX Teal, also known as Route 306 and the South Crosstown BRT, is a bus rapid transit line in Calgary, Alberta. Part of Calgary Transit's MAX network, it connects CTrain stations on the Red and Blue lines to the southwest and southeast quadrants of Calgary. Stations and route MAX Teal begins in the southwest at Westbrook station on the Blue Line, travelling southeast, partially along the Southwest Transitway where it meets MAX Yellow. MAX Teal stops at Heritage station on the Red Line, before continuing southeast to terminate at Douglas Glen station, the terminus of the future Green Line. MAX (Calgary)
MAX is a bus rapid transit network operated by Calgary Transit in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. MAX forms a part of Calgary Transit's rapid transit network, along with the CTrain light rail system. The MAX system opened in November 2018 with three routes: MAX Orange, MAX Teal, and MAX Purple. The MAX Yellow line opened in December 2019. MAX routes are distinguished from Calgary's existing express bus network, branded as "BRT", by the use of dedicated transitway on three lines, heated shelters, real-time information, and elevated sidewalks. Red Line (Calgary)
The Red Line, also known as Route 201, is a light rail transit (LRT) line in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Partnered with the Blue Line, and future Green Line it makes up Calgary's CTrain network. Following its initial approval in 1976, the Red Line opened in 1981, running from Anderson station in the southeast into downtown. The Red Line has gone through a series of expansions, which bring it to its current design. The Red Line services the northwest quadrant and south end of the city beginning at Tuscany station, runs through the downtown core on 7th Avenue, then proceeds southbound where it terminates at Somerset–Bridlewood station. The section of track running along 7th Avenue is shared with the Blue Line. MAX Orange, also known as Route 303 or the North Crosstown BRT, is a bus rapid transit line in Calgary, Alberta. Part of Calgary Transit's MAX network, it largely travels east-west along 16 Avenue N and north-south along 52 Street NE. It connects CTrain stations on the Red and Blue lines to the northwest and northeast quadrants of Calgary. Stations and route MAX Orange begins in the northwest at Brentwood station on the Red Line, travelling west to the Alberta Children's Hospital and Foothills Medical Centre. From Foothills Medical Centre, MAX Orange travels east along 16 Avenue N before turning north along 36 Street NE to Rundle station on the Blue Line. Heritage Park Historical Village
Heritage Park Historical Village is a historical park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on of parkland on the banks of the Glenmore Reservoir, along the city's southwestern edge. The Historical Village is open from late May to Thanksgiving and Heritage Town Square is open year-round. As Canada's second largest living history museum, it is one of the city's most visited tourist attractions. Exhibits span western Canadian history from the 1860s to the 1950s. Many of the buildings are historical and were transported to the park to be placed on display. Others are re-creations of actual buildings. Most of the structures are furnished and decorated with genuine artifacts. Staff dress in historic costume, and antique automobiles and horse-drawn vehicles service the site. Rockyview General Hospital
Rockyview General Hospital (RGH) is a large hospital. It is located in the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on the shores of the Glenmore Reservoir and is administered by Alberta Health Services and formerly by the Calgary Health Region. The hospital contains over 650 beds and provides medical and surgical services to Calgary and Southern Alberta. Mount Royal University
Mount Royal University (MRU) is a public university in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. History Mount Royal University was founded by Alberta provincial charter by the Arthur Sifton government on December 16, 1910 and officially opened on September 8, 1911. Originally "Mount Royal College", the institution was the brainchild of Calgary Reverend George W. Kerby (1860-1944) who sought an opportunity for higher education for the benefit of young people from rural homes in the area. The provincial charter as presented in the legislature by R. B. The Green Line is a light rail (LRT) line under construction in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The line will run between Calgary’s north-central and southeastern boundaries, connecting with the Red Line and Blue Line in the city’s downtown. Heritage Station (Calgary)
Heritage Station is a CTrain light rail station in Haysboro, Calgary, Alberta as part of the original South Line (Route 201) which opened on May 25, 1981. The station, with a large 557 space park-and-ride lot, is located on the exclusive LRT right of way (adjacent to CPR right-of-way), 7.9 km south of the City Hall Interlocking, west of Macleod Trail. The station consists of a center-loading platform with mezzanine access on the north end and an at-grade access at the south end. As part of Calgary Transit's plans to operate four-car trains by the end of 2014, all three-car stations were extended. Construction at Heritage Station to extend the platform to the South started on July 16, 2012, and the new extended platform and ramp access opened on December 10, 2012. Westbrook Station (Calgary)
Westbrook is the third station on the West LRT line of the CTrain light rail system in Calgary, Alberta. The station, along with the rest of the line, opened on December 10, 2012. However, on December 8, 2012, it was opened as a preview for the public to use. The station is located underground beside 33 Street SW between Bow Trail and 17 Avenue SW, 4 km from the 7 Avenue & 9 Street SW Interlocking. The station, along with associated office block above it, occupies the site of the former Ernest Manning High School, which closed in June 2011, and a former Petro-Canada service station that closed in 2009. The school and station were demolished to make room for this station and a new school (using the same name) was built 3.5 kilometres away near the 69 Street SW station.
