MAMA Gallery
MAMA is a contemporary art gallery located in Los Angeles, California. As its name implies, MAMA fosters and exhibits contemporary artworks executed in a wide variety of media including visual installations, film, video, automata, but not excluding 'traditional' forms such as painting. A number of its projects and programmes are rooted in popular digital, video, and street culture. The physical space closed in 2017 following a partnership dispute, and the gallery became AB Contemporary by Adarsha Benjamin, an independent art advising company based in Malibu, California. In addition to exhibitions, MAMA develops new ways of working with a range of audiences and communities through visual arts and culture. The gallery is also notable for being the host location of Jena Malone's ''The Holy Other'' photography exhibition. Art Gallery
An art gallery is a room or a building in which visual art is displayed. In Western cultures from the mid-15th century, a gallery was any long, narrow covered passage along a wall, first used in the sense of a place for art in the 1590s. Georgopoulos works with painting, sculpture, and video installation to address a relationship between highly skilled production techniques, pop culture, and taboo iconography. Daniel Dale Johnston (January 22, 1961 – September 11, 2019) was an American singer, musician and artist regarded as a significant figure in outsider, lo-fi, and alternative music scenes.
