Bruno Maag
Bruno Maag (born 1962) is a Swiss type designer and founder of type design company Dalton Maag. Maag began his career with an apprenticeship as a typesetter for the Tages Anzeiger, Switzerland's largest daily paper. This led him to study Visual Communication at Basel School of Design. During a work experience placement at Stempel, he met Rene Kerfante who later moved to Monotype and then invited him to join him there. He worked for Monotype both in the UK and in the USA, where he designed fonts for ''The New Yorker''. He established Dalton Maag in London in 1991. Karin Maag
Karin Maag (born 13 June 1962) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Baden-Württemberg from 2009 to 2021. Early career From 2004 until 2007, Maag served as chief of staff to Wolfgang Schuster in his role as Lord Mayor of Stuttgart. She later headed the administration of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 2007 until 2009. Political career Maag first became a member of the Bundestag after the 2009 German federal election. She is a member of the Health Committee. Ernst Peter Johannes Maag (10 May 1919 – 16 April 2001) was a Swiss conductor. Early life Peter Maag was born on 10 May 1919 in St. Gallen, Switzerland and died on 16 April 2001 in Verona, Italy. His father, Otto, was a Lutheran minister, and his mother, Nelly, a violinist who performed in the Capet Quartet as second violinist. His great uncles were conductors Emil and Fritz Steinbach. Peter attended the universities of Zürich, Basel, and Geneva. He was mentored by Karl Barth and Emil Brunner in theology, and Karl Jaspers in philosophy. He studied piano and theory with Czesław Marek in Zürich and received further training on piano with Alfred Cortot in Paris. His conducting mentors were Ernest Ansermet, Wilhelm Furtwängler, and Franz von Hoesslin. Ron Maag (born in 1945) is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving in the House from 2009 to 2016. Career After graduation from the University of Cincinnati, Maag went on to work for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He also served as a board member with the Warren County Farm Bureau. AnnaSofia Mååg
AnnaSofia Mååg (born 1968) is a Swedish ice artist, sculptor and ceramicist. Life She has a Master of Fine Arts from HDK – School of Design and Crafts of the University of Gothenburg. She has created works for the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi since 2006. In 2014 she worked with Alessandro Falca to make a "Secret Garden" in the main hall, including a wishing well and unicorn. In 2015 her "Elephant in the Room" art suite was dominated by a high carving of an elephant.
