M7 (Cape Town)
The M7, also named Jakes Gerwel Drive (previously Vanguard Drive; renamed on 18 January 2015), is a limited-access road and metropolitan route in the City of Cape Town, South Africa. It connects Acacia Park with Rocklands on the False Bay Coast via the Cape Flats. Route The M7 begins at an interchange with the N1 Highway and the southern terminus of the N7 Highway adjacent to Acacia Park. The M7 begins by heading southwards as Jakes Gerwel Drive (formerly Vanguard Drive), forming the western boundary of Goodwood, to meet the R102 (Voortrekker Road). It then separates Thornton in the west from the GrandWest Casino in the east before meeting the M16 (Viking Way) and separating the two sides of the Epping Industrial Area. Goodwood, Western Cape
Goodwood is a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape, South Africa and is situated in the Tygerberg region of the City of Cape Town. It is 10 kilometres from Cape Town and accessible from the N1, N7 and N2 highways. The town was established in 1905 and named after Goodwood Racecourse in England as the founders intended to make it a racing centre. A course was actually constructed, but after only one meeting it was abandoned. The first railway station was built in 1905, and today there are five within the municipal area. The R310 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Muizenberg to the south-west with the R45 between Paarl and Franschhoek to the north-east, via Stellenbosch and Hellshoogte Pass. The section between Muizenberg and Stellenbosch is called Baden Powell Drive. Route The R310 begins in Muizenberg at an intersection with the M4 (Main Road) . Peninsula Expressway (Cape Town)
The N21 is a proposed national route in the City of Cape Town, South Africa. It is also known as Peninsula Expressway ring road. Once complete, it will link the northern suburbs on the Atlantic seaboard (Melkbosstrand & Bloubergstrand) with the southern suburbs on False Bay (Muizenberg). The R300 Freeway is entirely part of the proposed route (the freeway will be extended at both ends). The R300 or Kuils River Freeway (also Cape Flats Freeway) is a Regional Route in the Cape Metropole, South Africa that connects Mitchells Plain with the N2, Kuils River, and the N1 at Bellville. The R300 is a freeway for its entire length; it forms part of the proposed Peninsula Expressway. Route The R300 begins at the Stellenberg Interchange with the N1 between Bellville and Brackenfell and heads south bordering between both towns. Mitchells Plain is a large township located within the City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa and situated about from the Cape Town city centre. It is one of South Africa's largest residential areas and contains multiple smaller suburbs. It is located on the Cape Flats on the False Bay coast between Muizenberg and Khayelitsha. The Philippi Horticultural area is a large semi-urban semi-rural area of Philippi in Cape Town's Cape Flats region, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The horticultural area is sparsely populated compared to the surrounding city and contains many farms. The 2011 national census recorded 6,618 residents living in the area with an additional 2,961 residents living in the Knole Park community in the central western part of the area.
