M3 Motorway (Hungary)
The M3 motorway ( hu, M3-as autópálya) is a Hungarian motorway connecting Budapest to Nyíregyháza. It will eventually connect Budapest to the Ukrainian border. Two other motorways branch off it, the M30 (connecting the M3 to Miskolc) and the M35 (connecting the M3 to Debrecen). The M3 follows the route of route 3, and, later, route 4. The section of the motorway between Görbeháza and Nyíregyháza was opened to the public in August 2007. The latest section of the motorway, the one between Highway 49 and Vásárosnamény was opened to the public in 2014. The total length of the motorway now is 281 km. Zero Kilometre Stone
The Zero Kilometre Stone is a 3 m high limestone sculpture in Budapest that represents Kilometre Zero in Hungary. It consists of a zero sign, with an inscription on its pedestal reading "KM" for kilometres. It was initially located at the threshold of Buda Royal Palace, but was moved to its present location by Széchenyi Chain Bridge when the crossing was completed in 1849. The present sculpture is the work of Miklós Borsos and was erected in 1975. The first official monument, a Madonna statue by Eugene Kormendi had been set up at this spot in 1932, but was destroyed in World War II. A second sculpture, depicting a worker, was in place from 1953 until its replacement by the current one. Nagykálló
Nagykálló ( yi, קאלעוו, Kaliv) is a small town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. Before World War II it belonged to Szabolcs county. Location from county seat Nyíregyháza. History Nagykálló was already an oppidum (market town) in the 14th century. Its name probably comes from the old word ''kálló'' meaning "gathering place". ''Nagy'' means "large"; this prefix was used to differentiate between Nagykálló and the nearby Kiskálló ("small Kálló"), which later became a part of Nagykálló. In 1315 King Charles Robert granted the town rights to hold a market, later the county councils were held here, thus the town became the centre of the region. After the Ottomans burnt the town in 1556, the citizens built a stone castle for defence. In 1603 István Bocskai settled Hajdúk in the town. Görbeháza
Görbeháza is a village in Hajdú-Bihar county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. Location It is located in the north-western part of the county, about 50 kilometres north-west of Debrecen, and a similar distance from Miskolc and Nyíregyháza. A separate part of the municipality is Bagota, 9 km south of the centre. The immediate neighbours are Hajdúnánás to the north-east, Hajdúböszörmény to the south-east, Balmazújváros to the south, Újszentmargita to the south-west, Folyás to the west and Polgár to the north-west. Gödöllő (; german: Getterle; sk, Jedľovo) is a town in Pest County, Budapest metropolitan area, Hungary, about northeast from the outskirts of Budapest.
