Macchi M
Aermacchi was an Italian aircraft manufacturer. Formerly known as Aeronautica Macchi, the company was founded in 1912 by Giulio Macchi at Varese in north-western Lombardy as Nieuport-Macchi, to build Nieuport monoplanes under licence for the Italian military. With a factory located on the shores of Lake Varese, the firm originally manufactured a series of Nieuport designs, as well as seaplanes. After World War II, the company began producing motorcycles as a way to fill the post-war need for cheap, efficient transportation. The company later specialised in civil and military pilot training aircraft. In July 2003, Aermacchi was integrated into the Finmeccanica Group (now Leonardo) as Alenia Aermacchi, which increased its shareholding to 99%. Model 39 Grenade
The Model 39 "''Eihandgranate",'' M39 or ''Eierhandgranate 39'' ("egg hand grenade") was a German fragmentation hand grenade introduced in 1939 and produced until the end of World War II. Description The ''Eihandgranate'' were issued to the ''Fallschirmjäger'' from early till the end of the war. The grenade used the same fuse assembly (the BZE 39) as the Model 43 ''Stielhandgranate'' ("Stick Grenade"), which was screwed into the top of the sheet-metal body. To activate, the dome-shaped cap was unscrewed and pulled with a coiled pull-cord that is pulled before throwing. The color of the cap indicated the burning time of the type of fuze fitted. Typically, a delay of around four seconds was used. It could also be used in place of the bottom side screw cap on the "Stielhandgranate" stick grenades. Goulburn Valley Highway is a highway located in Victoria, Australia. The section north of the Hume Freeway is part of the Melbourne to Brisbane National Highway (together with Hume Freeway) and is the main link between these two cities as well as a major link between Victoria and inland New South Wales. It is also the most direct route between Melbourne and the major regional centre of Shepparton in Victoria (via the Hume Freeway). The M39 road is a metropolitan route in the City of Tshwane in Gauteng, South Africa. It connects a rural area north of Pretoria (Pyramid) with a rural area north-west of Pretoria (Lebalangwe) via Soshanguve and Mabopane. Route The M39 route begins at a junction with the R101 Route (Old Warmbaths Road) about 2 kilometres north of Pyramid. It heads westwards for 12.5 kilometres to reach a t-junction with the M35 route. The M39 joins the M35 and they are one road northwards for 2 kilometres before the M39 becomes its own road westwards to enter the town of Soshanguve. After one kilometre, the M39 meets the northern terminus of the R80 Highway (Mabopane Highway) at a t-junction and turns to the north-west. The M39 is a long metropolitan route in Greater Johannesburg, South Africa. It connects Kyalami with Germiston via Midrand, Kempton Park & Isando. Route The M39 begins at a junction with the R55 road in Kyalami Gardens, at the entrance to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. It goes east-south-east into the southern suburbs of Midrand as Allandale Road, bypassing Vorna Valley, to bypass the Mall of Africa and form an interchange with the N1 Highway (Ben Schoeman Freeway) before meeting the R101 road (Old Pretoria Main Road). M-39 is a north–south state trunkline highway in Metro Detroit area of the US state of Michigan that runs from Lincoln Park, on the south end, to Southfield on the north. The official southern terminus of M-39 is at the corner of Southfield Road and Lafayette Boulevard in Lincoln Park, one block southeast of the junction of Interstate 75 (I-75, Fisher Freeway) and two blocks northwest of M-85 (Fort Street). From there the highway heads northward. The first of the highway follows Southfield Road, a divided highway in the Downriver area. It then transitions into the Southfield Freeway, which is a freeway that runs from Allen Park north through Dearborn, and then the west side of Detroit, to Southfield. Panssarimiina M/39
The Panssarimiina m/39 is a Finnish anti-tank blast mine used during the Winter War, Second World War and Continuation War. The mine superseded the Panssarimiina m/36 in service with the Finnish Army. It was first delivered in December 1939 while the Winter War was taking place. Though it was simpler to produce than the earlier m/36 it was still too complicated, and supply was outstripped by demand. This spawned the rapid design and development of the wooden Panssarimiina m/S-39 which could be largely produced without the use of metal working machinery. The mine proved to have too little explosive content to reliably break the tracks of the latest Russian tanks, so a supplemental charges were issued, consisting of 2.5 kg of TNT in a metal box, they could be buried under the mine to supplement the main charge. After the Army abandoned its search for a new pistol, the Model 39 went on the civilian market in 1955 and was the first of Smith & Wesson's first generation semi-automatic pistols. A modified version saw limited use with Naval Special Warfare units as the Mk 22 Mod 0.
