M38 (Johannesburg)
The M38 is a short metropolitan route in Johannesburg, South Africa. The entire route is in the Johannesburg South area, connecting Southgate with Tulisa Park via Ridgeway. It is parallel to the Johannesburg Southern Bypass ( N12 Highway) for its entire route. There is also a short route in the eastern part of Midrand that is designated as the M38. Route The M38 begins at a junction with the R553 Road in the Eikenhof suburb of Johannesburg South. It begins by going north-east as Main Road to meet the M68 Road in the Southgate suburb, bypassing the Southgate Shopping Centre. It passes under the N12 Highway ( Johannesburg Southern Bypass) and meets the southern terminus of the M5 Road (Nasrec Road) before turning eastwards to pass under the M1 Highway. Diepkloof
Diepkloof is a large zone of Soweto township in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Germiston, also known as kwaDukathole, is a small city in the East Rand region of Gauteng, South Africa, administratively forming part of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality since the latter's establishment in 2000. The M46 is a short metropolitan route in Greater Johannesburg, South Africa. It connects Tulisa Park in Johannesburg South with Springs via Germiston, Boksburg and Brakpan. The M31 is a metropolitan route in Johannesburg, South Africa. The road connects the southern suburbs of Alberton with Johannesburg's northern suburbs. The routes eastern bypass in the Johnannesburg CBD connects the M2 motorway at the Heidelberg Interchange with M1 North motorway in Houghton and then the route follows the M1 motorway northwards until the M31 ends in Bramley. Route The M31 begins as Ring Road West in Raceview, Alberton, at a junction with the R554/ R103 Heidelberg Road. The Ring Road West heads northwards, forming a semi-ring road on the western side of the Alberton CBD before leaving it and joining the Ring Road East. The R59 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Hertzogville with Alberton (south-east of Johannesburg) via Bothaville, Parys and Vereeniging. The R59 is a freeway from the R57 Junction in Sasolburg until the Alberton N12 Reading Interchange, signposted as the Sybrand van Niekerk Freeway. Route Free State The R59 begins at a t-junction with the R64 about 18 kilometres west of Dealesville. It heads north for 61 kilometres to the town of Hertzogville, where it meets the R708 at a t-junction next to the Palmietpan and they become co-signed northwards. Rosettenville is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It lies to the south of the city centre. History Rosettenville is named after Leo (or Levin) Rosettenstein, who surveyed the land and sold stands after gold was discovered on the Witwatersrand. Some roads are named after his family members. Between 1924 and 1972, over 50 000 white Portuguese-speaking immigrants moved to the area, mostly from Portugal, but also from Madeira and Mozambique, which was then a Portuguese colony. After Mozambique gained independence from Portugal in 1976, many more white Mozambicans moved to South Africa, and many of them settled in Rosettenville.
