M.anifest
Kwame Ametepee Tsikata (born 20 November 1982), known professionally as M.anifest is a Ghanaian musician, rapper and record producer. He won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards. He has worked with Damon Albarn, Flea, Tony Allen, Erykah Badu, and is featured on five songs on the '' Rocket Juice and The Moon'' album. He is the grandson of one of Africa's foremost ethnomusicologists and composers J.H. Kwabena Nketia. In 2012, '' The Strand'' on BBC Radio tipped him as one of four acts to look out for in 2012. In 2015 M.anifest's single "Someway bi" earned him a third-place honour in the International Songwriters Competition (ISC). In the same year, ''The Guardian'' named M.anifest as "the foremost rapper on the continent.". M.anifest currently divides his lifetime between Madina in Ghana and Minneapolis in the United States. Rocket Juice And The Moon
''Rocket Juice & the Moon'' is the only album by the supergroup of the same name, formed in 2008. The group consisted of Damon Albarn, Flea, and Tony Allen. Album history The project was announced in mid-2008; however due to various other projects by the band members recording was repeatedly delayed. Allen had previously worked with Albarn as a drummer on the album, ''The Good, the Bad & the Queen''. On 27 October 2011, Albarn released a statement announcing the band's name. He said that he had nothing to do with naming the band and that someone in Lagos did the sleeve design for the album and that's the name he gave it. Albarn said he is fine with the name because trying to find a name for another band is always tricky. The band's debut album contains 18 tracks and was released on 26 March 2012. Tsatsu Tsikata
Tsatsu Tsikata (born on 1 October 1950) is a Ghanaian academic and lawyer. He is also a former Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation. He is a notable affiliate and legal counsel to the National Democratic Congress and regarded as one of the leading members of the political party. Early life and education Tsikata was born in Keta in the south of the Volta Region of Ghana. He was however brought up in Adabraka, a suburb of Accra, the capital of Ghana. Camp Mulla was an alternative hip hop group originating from and based in Nairobi, Kenya. Tumi Molekane (born 16 August 1981) is a Tanzanian-born South African rapper and poet. He was the lead vocalist of Tumi and the Volume, that was officially disbanded in 2012.
