M. Nurullah Tuncer
M.Nurullah Tuncer (born 1959 in Van, Turkey), graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Stage and Costume Design with his B.A. and master's degrees. He then worked as an academic for Mimar Sinan University, Department of stage and visual arts from 1985 till 2002. He has been an artist of Istanbul Municipality City Theatres since 1985 as well. He has contributed more than a hundred plays within the company as a stage designer, costume designer and lighting designer. He paints oil paintings since 1987 and has exhibited twice in Istanbul in 1990 and 1996. Van, Turkey
Van ( hy, Վան; ku, Wan) is a mostly Kurdish-populated and historically Armenian-populated city in eastern Turkey's Van Province. The city lies on the eastern shore of Lake Van. Van has a long history as a major urban area. It has been a large city since the first millennium BCE, initially as Tushpa, the capital of the kingdom of Urartu from the 9th century BCE to the 6th century BCE, and later as the center of the Armenian kingdom of Vaspurakan. Mimar Sinan University
The Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University ( tr, Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi, or MSGSÜ) is a Turkish public university dedicated to higher education in the fine arts. It is located in the Fındıklı neighbourhood of Beyoğlu, Istanbul, Turkey. Founded in 1882 by Osman Hamdi Bey, the institution imitated the traditional European Beaux-Arts model and was the first Western-style art academy of its kind in the Middle East. ''My Name Is Red'' ( tr, Benim Adım Kırmızı) is a 1998 Turkish novel by writer Orhan Pamuk translated into English by Erdağ Göknar in 2001. Pamuk would later receive the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature. The novel, concerning miniaturists in the Ottoman Empire of 1591, established Pamuk's international reputation and contributed to his Nobel Prize. The influences of Joyce, Kafka, Mann, Nabokov and Proust and above all Eco can be seen in Pamuk's work. The book has been translated into more than 60 languages since publication. The French translation won the French Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger and the Italian version the Premio Grinzane Cavour in 2002. Orhan Pamuk
Ferit Orhan Pamuk (born 7 June 1952) is a Turkish novelist, screenwriter, academic, and recipient of the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature. One of Turkey's most prominent novelists, his work has sold over thirteen million books in sixty-three languages, making him the country's best-selling writer. Sulejman Kupusović
Sulejman Kupusović (7 April 1951 – 15 August 2014) was a Bosnian theater director. Also, he directed some television films and series. In 1974, Kupusović received a diploma from the Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Zagreb, as a director of theater, film and television. He later studied philosophy and comparative literature at the University of Zagreb. He directed in theaters across the former Yugoslavia, as well as the first Bosnian opera, ''Hasanaginica'', which premiered in Sarajevo on 18 March 2000. In addition to theater performances, he has directed several TV films, dramas and sitcoms. He directed the award-winning 2011 theater play '' Krokodil Lacoste'' written by Zlatko Topčić, in Chamber Theater 55. Kupusović died aged 63 in the Bosnian capital city after a long illness.
