M. M. Keeravaani
Koduri Marakathamani Keeravani (born 4 July 1961; credited as M. M. Keeravani) is an Indian film composer, playback singer, and lyricist, who predominantly works in Telugu cinema along with other languages including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Keeravani won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the 1997 Telugu film ''Annamayya''. He is also a recipient of eight Filmfare Awards, eleven Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award. He was also nominated for Saturn Award for Best Music for '' Baahubali: The Beginning'' (2015). Early life Keeravaani was born into a Telugu family in Kovvur, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh to Koduri Siva Shakthi Datta, a lyricist and screenwriter. Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka. The 1934 film ''Sati Sulochana'' directed by Y. V. Rao was the first talkie film in the Kannada language. It was also the first film starring Subbaiah Naidu and Tripuramba, and was the first motion picture screened in the erstwhile Mysore Kingdom. ''Mathu Vadalara'' () is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language comedy thriller film directed by debutant Ritesh Rana. Kalyani Malik is an Indian music director and playback singer in Telugu cinema. Since achieving recognition through Chandra Sekhar Yeleti's film ''Aithe'' (2003), Malik has provided musical scores for many other films. Koduri Siva Shakthi Datta (born Koduri Subba Rao; 8 October 1932), is an Indian lyricist, screenwriter, and painter who works in Telugu cinema. He is known for writing Sanskrit-based song lyrics in Telugu films. He is the elder brother of screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad, father of music director M. M. Keeravani and the uncle of director S.
