M. G. Sasibhooshan
Dr. M. G. Sasibhooshan (1 January 1951) is an orator, writer, art historian, and consultant in Indology based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Life sketch Mundathu Gupthan Sasibhooshan is the son of S. Guptan Nair, one of the noted critics in Malayalam Literature. He started his career as a sub-editor for Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi newspapers and then went on to teach for 18 years at the University of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. He has extensively researched on murals and sculptures of more than 300 temples in South India and is considered a subject expert in snake worship and temple history of Kerala. He was part of the executive committee for the Kerala Sahithya Akademi, Kerala Kala Mandalam and the Numismatic Society of India. Kayamkulam
Kayamkulam is a town and municipality in the ''Onattukara'' region of Alappuzha district in Kerala. It is the second biggest town in Alappuzha district. It is located on the western coast of India, and was an ancient maritime trading center. The Numismatic Society of India (NSI) is the foremost numismatic society in India. It was founded in 1910 by a group of (mainly) expatriate Englishmen associated with British rule in India. The founding members were Rev. G.P. Taylor, Sir Richard Burn, H.R. Nevil, H.N. Wright, R.B. Whitehead and Framji Thanawala. Chinmaya Mission Thiruvananthapuram
Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati (born Balakrishna Menon; 8 May 1916 – 3 August 1993) was a Hindu spiritual leader and a teacher. In 1951, he founded Chinmaya Mission, a worldwide nonprofit organisation, in order to spread the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, and other ancient Hindu scriptures. Through the Mission, Chinmayananda spearheaded a global Hindu spiritual and cultural renaissance that popularised these spiritual texts and values, teaching them in English all across India and abroad. Chinmayananda was originally a journalist and participated in the Indian independence movement. Under the tutelage of Swami Sivananda and later Tapovan Maharaj, he began studying Vedanta and took the vow of sannyasa. Guruvayur () is a municipal temple town in Thrissur District, of Kerala State in India. It is a suburban town of Thrissur city, located from Thrissur towards the north-west. Kerala Kalamandalam, deemed to be University of Art and Culture by the Government of India, is a major center for learning Indian performing arts, especially those that developed in the Southern states of India, with the special emphasis on Kerala. It is situated in the small town of Cheruthuruthy in Thrissur, Thrissur District on the banks of the Bharathapuzha river.
