M-150 is a non-carbonated energy drink marketed by Osotspa, Osotspa Company Limited. In Thailand, it is sold in 150 mL glass bottles. In 2010, it was reported that M-150 had a 65 percent share of market but dropped to 46 percent by 2014. Osotspa Public Company Limited ( th, บริษัท โอสถสภา จำกัด (มหาชน)) is a Thai beverage producer of drinks such as M-150 and ''Shark Stimulation''. It is based in Bangkok. History The origins of Osotspa date back to 1891. Founded by Chinese immigrants in Bangkok's Chinatown, the business was originally named Teck Heng Yoo before changing its name to Osotspa after World War II. King Vajiravudh granted the honorary surname of Osathanugrah, which means "provider of medicine" in Thai, to the founding family after one of their products helped end an outbreak of dysentery in the Thai army. The business is still family-owned. In 1959, King Rama IX granted a royal warrant to the company, giving it permission to use the royal Garuda emblem. In 1965, the company began to import ''Lipovitan-D'' ("Lipo") energy drink from Japan's Taisho Pharmaceutical Company. Lipovitan
, marketed in some English-speaking countries under the name Libogen and Livita, is an energy drink manufactured by Taisho Pharmaceutical Co. and its licensee Osotspa. Widely available in Asia, it retails in brown-colored translucent 100 ml bottles, and its contents has a distinctive bright yellow color. Lipovitan is marketed to alleviate physical and mental fatigue. Ingredients The primary ingredient in the Lipovitan product line is taurine. Stronger formulas of the drink include ''Lipovitan D'', which contains 1000 mg of taurine, 20 mg of nicotinic acid extract (vitamin B3), 5 mg each of vitamin B1, B2 and B6, and 50 mg of caffeine. ''Lipovitan D Super'' contains 2000 mg of taurine and 300 mg of arginine. ''MAXIO'' contains 3000 mg of taurine. The warning label on all of its products say not to consume more than 100 ml per day. Carabao Dang Energy Drink ( th, คาราบาวแดง; ; "red water buffalo") is a Thai energy drink launched in 2002 by Carabao Tawandang Co Ltd. It is now Thailand's second most popular energy drink. It is the key brand of Carabao Tawandang in Thailand, with an estimated 21 per cent market share in 2014. The name "Carabao Dang" comes from the Carabao Group's association with the band Carabao, combined with the German Tawandang Brewery Restaurant. It is marketed with the slogan "Carabao Dang: The Fighting Spirit". Krating Daeng ( th, กระทิงแดง, , ; 'red bull' or 'red gaur') is a sweetened, non-carbonated energy drink developed by Chaleo Yoovidhya. The drink is marketed and sold primarily in Southeast and East Asia; its derivative, Red Bull, is available worldwide in 165 countries. (Subscription required.)
