M-11 Highway (Montenegro)
M-11 highway ( cnr, Magistralni put M-11, script=Latn) (previously known as M-2.1) is a Montenegro, Montenegrin roadway. The M-11 highway serves as an extension of the M-1 highway (Montenegro), M-1 highway, serving Tivat and Tivat Airport. When used with Kamenari–Lepetani Ferry, Ferryboat to Kamenari it also serves as a shortcut for M-1 highway (Montenegro), M-1 highway bypassing much of bay of Kotor. It is the shortest highway in Montenegro. History Before Vrmac Tunnel was built, M-11 highway was part of M-2 highway, which itself was part of Adriatic highway also serving as part of International_E-road_network, International E-roads. On 27 March 2014, the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs realigned the M-2 highway. Regional road R-22 was declared defunct and its route integrated into the M-2. Radanovići ( Serbian Cyrillic: Радановићи) is a small town in the municipality of Kotor, Montenegro. Town is also part and largest settlement of historical rural region of Grbalj at the coastal region of Montenegro. Tivat Municipality
Tivat Municipality ( Montenegrin and Serbian: Opština Tivat / Општина Тиват) is the smallest municipality in Montenegro by area, situated in the Bay of Kotor. The center of the municipality is the eponymous town, Tivat. Besides the town, Tivat municipality encompasses the Vrmac mountain and a portion of Luštica peninsula, as well as Tivat field and a number of smaller coastal settlements. M-1 Highway (Montenegro)
M-1 highway ( cnr, Magistralni put M-1) is a Montenegrin roadway. The M-1 highway runs along the complete Montenegrin coast from its western border with Croatia all the way east to border with Albania. It goes through all the coastal cities in Montenegro (i.e. Herceg Novi, Kotor, Budva, Bar, Ulcinj). It is the starting point of all the highways that start at the coastline and go north like M1.1, M-2, M-8 and M12 and intersects with M-11 in Boka Bay, where M-11 can be used to shorten the distance by with using ferryboat from Kamenari to Lepetani. Tivat (, ) is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. , its population was 9,367. Tivat is the centre of Tivat Municipality, which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro. Tivat Airport ( cnr, Аеродром Тиват, Aerodrom Tivat) is an international airport serving the Montenegrin coastal town of Tivat and the surrounding region. The airport is situated south of the centre of Tivat, with the runway aligned with the ''Tivat Field'' ( cnr, Тиватско поље, Tivatsko polje). Vrmac Tunnel
Vrmac Tunnel ( cnr, Tunel Vrmac) is a vehicular tunnel in southern Montenegro. The tunnel, which is 1,637 m long, connects town of Kotor with the Adriatic Motorway and the rest of Montenegro. It passes under Mount Vrmac, thus eliminating the journey along the old curvy road that passes over the mountain. The tunnel was half-finished in 1991, but was then opened to the public as it was, because of the lack of funding to finish it. In 2004 work began to finish the tunnel, and to bring it up to European standards. Adriatic Highway
The Adriatic Highway ( hr, Jadranska magistrala) is a road that stretches along the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and is part of the European route E65. The road passes through Croatia, with smaller stretches through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and ends at the Montenegro-Albania border. It is an undivided two-lane road for almost its entire length, with the exception of a short stretch through Zadar and a dual-carriageway section from Plano (Trogir) to the southeast suburbs of Split. It was planned in the 1930s and built in the 50s and 60s. The dual carriageway is planned to be extended further southeast to Omiš. Completion of the Adriatic Ionian motorway is proposed in order to replace the Adriatic highway as a high-performance road transport route along the Adriatic coast.
