Lützenkirchen (born 1976 or 1977,Thomas WinklerSpiegel Online, 10 June 2008 (in German) real name Tobias David Lützenkirchen) is a German DJ and producer. He is best known for having created the 2008 song "3 Tage Wach" which reached the German Top 40 Charts. Lützenkirchen began his DJ career in 2006, adopting ''Lützenkirchen'' as his professional name. By 2008 he had switched to performing pure live sets. The single "3 Tage Wach" ("awake for three days") was the 60th best-selling single of 2008 in Germany. Electronica is both a broad group of electronic-based music styles intended for listening rather than strictly for dancing and a music scene that started in the early 1990s in the United Kingdom. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Types of DJs include radio DJs (who host programs on music radio stations), club DJs (who work at a nightclub or music festival), mobile DJs (who are hired to work at public and private events such as weddings, parties, or festivals), and turntablists (who use record players, usually turntables, to manipulate sounds on phonograph records).
