Løkta
Løkta is an island in the municipality of Dønna in Nordland county, Norway. The island is located between the islands of Dønna and Hugla, at the entrance to the Ranfjorden. The village of Sandåker is located on the southern part of the island, just west of the tall Sandåkerfjellet. Løkta Church is located on the island. Historically, the western part of the island was a part of the old municipality of Dønnes and the eastern part belonged to the municipality of Nesna, but in 1962 all of the island became a part of Dønna Municipality. Løkta Church
Løkta Church ( no, Løkta kirke) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sandåker on the island of Løkta. It is an annex chapel in the Dønna parish which is part of the Nord-Helgeland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden chapel was built in a long church style in 1968. The chapel seats about 90 people. Dønna (island)
Dønna is the largest island in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island lies off the west coast of the mainland of Helgeland, Norway. The islands of Løkta and Tomma lie northeast of the island, the islands of Vandve and Åsvær lie to the west, and the islands of Herøy and Alsta lie to the south. The island is the main island of the municipality where most of the municipal residents live. In 2017, there were about 1,235 residents on the island. The northern and central parts of the island are low and relatively flat, partly marshy which nice coastal beaches. The southern part of Dønna is mountainous with several steep and bare mountains. The highest point on the island was the tall mountain Dønnamannen in the south part of the island. Sandåker is a village in the municipality of Dønna in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the south-central part of the island of Løkta. It has the postal code ''8813 Kopardal'', named after the neighboring village of Kopardal, where the local ferry port is located. Dønnes
Dønnes is a former municipality in the Helgeland traditional region in Nordland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1888 until its dissolution in 1962. The former municipality encompassed the northern part of the island of Dønna, the western parts of the islands of Tomma and Løkta, and over 300 smaller surrounding islands, islets, and skerries. Dønnes Church was probably built here at the request of Paul Vågaskalm who was governor of Alstahaug. It was built on the site of an older church sometime between 1200 and 1300. The characteristic onion dome was added in 1866. The church organ, built by Paul Christian Brantzeg, was installed in 1866. Nesna is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Nesna. Other villages in Nesna include Handnesneset, Husby, Saura, and Vikholmen. The municipality consists of the three islands Tomma, Hugla (known as "Hugløy" by its inhabitants), and Handnesøya, and one peninsula that bears the name of the municipality, Nesna.
