Lytham Trophy
The Lytham Trophy is an amateur golf tournament founded in 1965 by the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, where it has always been held. It is a 72-hole scratch stroke play competition, and is classified as a Category A event by the World Amateur Golf Rankings. In 2004 James Heath set a new tournament record with an 18 under par total of 266, winning by eight strokes over Ross Fisher. Lytham St Annes () is a seaside town in the Borough of Fylde in Lancashire, England. It is on the The Fylde, Fylde coast, directly south of Blackpool on the Ribble Estuary. Jackveer Singh Brar (born 18 November 1996) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won the 2018 Cordon Golf Open. As an amateur, he represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2017 Walker Cup. Amateur career Singh Brar had a successful amateur career, culminating in the 2017 Walker Cup. Stuart Wilson (golfer)
Stuart Wilson (born 18 July 1977) is a Scottish amateur golfer. Wilson won the 2004 Amateur Championship at St Andrews Links. His win gave him an entry to the 2004 Open Championship where he was the only Amateur to make the cut, and so winning the Silver Medal as the leading Amateur. Wilson was the European Junior Ryder Cup captain in 2012 and 2014 and was the captain of the 2021 Walker Cup team. Wilson was the managing secretary at Forfar Golf Club for 15 years before taking up a similar position at The Blairgowrie Golf Club in January 2021. Gary Lockerbie
Gary Lockerbie (born 15 November 1982) is an English professional golfer. Career Lockerbie was born in Penrith, Cumbria. He had a successful amateur career, including wins in the English Amateur and the Lytham Trophy, before turning professional after representing Great Britain and Ireland in the 2005 Walker Cup. In his first season as a professional on the second tier Challenge Tour in 2006, Lockerbie finished inside the top 15 in the rankings to graduate to the European Tour for 2007. He failed to win enough money in his rookie season on the European Tour to retain his playing status for the following year. In 2008 he claimed his first professional victory at the Kazakhstan Open, the Challenge Tour's richest regular season tournament. Jamie Moul
Jamie Moul (born 26 September 1984) is an English professional golfer who became the third man to top the World Amateur Golf Ranking on 13 February 2007. Moul plays out of Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club near Colchester in Essex. His tournament wins include the 2006 Lytham Trophy, and the 2007 Brabazon Trophy (jointly with Romain Bechu). Moul played on the Great Britain and Ireland team in the 2007 Walker Cup. He played in all four rounds. On the Saturday, he halved the foursomes with his partner Daniel Willett, and won his singles by 1 hole against opponent, Chris Kirk. On Sunday, Moul lost twice, again playing with Daniel Willett in the morning foursomes, and losing to Jamie Lovemark in the afternoon singles. Lloyd Saltman (born 10 September 1985) is a Scottish professional golfer. Early life and career Saltman was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is the grandson of former Hibernian goalkeeper Tommy Younger. Matthew Haines (born 1 December 1989) is an English professional golfer. Haines turned professional in May 2010 after a successful amateur career, during which he became the youngest ever winner of the Lytham Trophy and represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2009 Walker Cup as well as England in the European Amateur Team Championship. Paul Cutler (born 18 June 1946) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League, as a winger. Career Cutler was born in Welwyn Garden City and began his youth career with Crystal Palace. He signed professional terms in April 1964 and made his senior debut in November in an away 0–0 draw in the League Cup against Leicester City. He made a scoring league debut in March 1965, in a 1–1 away draw against Northampton Town and made two further appearances that season. Daan Huizing
Daan Huizing (born 22 October 1990) is a Dutch professional golfer. Huizing entered the European Tour qualifying school at the end of 2012. Because of his high ranking as an amateur, he was exempt from the first stage of qualifying. He made it through to the third stage where he finished 80th, earning a place in some Challenge Tour events for 2013. Huizing won twice in 2013, at the Northern Ireland Open Challenge and two weeks later at the Kharkov Superior Cup. He was also joint runner-up in the Kärnten Golf Open and finished the year in sixth place in the Challenge Tour standings, and graduated to the European Tour for 2014.
