Lyndsay Morgan
Warrant Officer Lyndsay Hugh Morgan, is a retired member of the Royal Air Force. He was the Chief of the Air Staff's Warrant Officer, the senior other rank in the Royal Air Force, from 2006 to 2009. Early life Morgan was born in Cardiff, Wales, and attended Whitchurch Grammar School. Military career Morgan joined the Royal Air Force after leaving school in 1972 at the age of 17. He became an aircraft technician specialising in engineering. He has been posted to RAF Brawdy. RAF Mildenhall
Royal Air Force Mildenhall or RAF Mildenhall is a Royal Air Force (RAF) station located near Mildenhall in Suffolk, England. Despite its status as a Royal Air Force station, it primarily supports United States Air Force (USAF) operations, and is currently the home of the 100th Air Refueling Wing (100 ARW). During the Second World War, RAF Bomber Command used the station for operational combat missions until 1945. Placed on standby status after the war, it was reopened by the Royal Air Force and became a USAF-RAF joint operation base on 11 July 1950. It was assigned to Strategic Air Command (SAC) it became a B-50 Superfortress base in 1951, and a KC-97 Stratofreighter base from 1953 until 1958. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. Gary Wilcox
Warrant Officer Gary Wilcox is a retired Royal Air Force (RAF) airman. He was the Chief of the Air Staff's Warrant Officer from 2009 to 2012, and therefore the senior RAF other rank during that time. Military career Wilcox entered training at RAF Halton as an apprentice in October 1974, as part of entry number 124. During his training he represented the RAF in football and athletics. His first posting after graduation was to RAF Scampton to work on Vulcan bombers. In 1978, he was promoted to corporal and attained a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. Wilcox was promoted to sergeant in 1981 and posted to No. 33 Squadron, RAF Odiham. From here he was detached to Belize, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Turkey, and Norway. RAF Brawdy
RAF Brawdy is a former Royal Air Force satellite station located east of St Davids, Pembrokeshire and south west of Fishguard, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It was operational between 1944 and 1992 being used by both the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy before the site was turned over to the British Army and renamed Cawdor Barracks. History The Pembrokeshire base was officially opened on 2 February 1944 as a satellite station for the nearby RAF St Davids with No. 517 Squadron RAF moving in a day before with the Handley Page Halifax Mk V before changing to the Mk III in March 1945. Other ranks (ORs) in the Royal Marines, British Army, Royal Air Force, and in the armies and air forces of many other Commonwealth countries and the Republic of Ireland, are those personnel who are not commissioned officers, usually including non-commissioned officers (NCOs).
