Lynden Sculpture Garden
Lynden Sculpture Garden (formerly the Bradley Sculpture Garden) is a 40-acre outdoor sculpture park located at 2145 West Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Milwaukee County. Formerly the estate of Harry Lynde Bradley and Margaret (Peg ) Blakney Bradley, Lynden is home to the collection of more than 50 monumental sculptures collected by Margaret Bradley between 1962 and 1978. The collection features works by Alexander Archipenko, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Clement Meadmore, Marta Pan, Tony Smith, Mark di Suvero and others sited across 40 acres of park, lake and woodland. Charles Ginnever
Charles Albert Ginnever (August 28, 1931 – June 16, 2019), was an American sculptor known primarily for large-scale abstract steel sculptures that defy simple understanding, as the works seem to constantly change form as one moves around them in time and space. Early life Charles Albert Ginnever was born in San Mateo, California, August 28, 1931. In 1953 he traveled to Paris, where he attended classes taught by the sculptor Ossip Zadkine at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. His European tour lasted two years, during which time he travelled throughout France and Italy and absorbed as much as he could from the many museums he visited. Sorel Etrog
Sorel Etrog, (August 29, 1933 February 26, 2014) was a Romanian-born Israeli-Canadian artist, writer, and philosopher best known for his work as a sculptor. He specialised in modern art works and contemporary sculpture. Etrog's works explore his first-hand experience of the Second World War; the renewal of sculptural traditions in modern art, such as the use of bronze as a medium; and the opposition between the mechanical and the organic. One of Canada's leading artists in the 1960s, Etrog contributed to the country's growing interest in sculpture. Life Born in Iaşi, Romania, in 1933, Etrog's formal art training began in 1945. Lindsay Daen
Lindsay Daen (1923–2001), was a New Zealand sculptor and artist who worked and resided in Puerto Rico. Daen created landmark sculptures in Puerto Rico, Australia and the United States. He was a member of the Royal Art Society in Sydney, whose art work was exhibited worldwide. Biography Lindsay Daen was born in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1923 of Australians, Australian parents. He arrived in Australia aged six months. At age 16 he became a Sydney newspaper reporter. During World War II he served in the Australian Army. From 1945 to 1948 Daen studied at East Sydney Technical School and the School of Arts in Adelaide, South Australia, where he concentrated in sculpture. His early ceramic sculptures were influenced by the aboriginal drawings and Melanesian carvings exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney Art Museum.
