Lye By Mistake
Lye By Mistake were an American experimental metal band from St. Louis, Missouri, United States, that formed in 2004. They released their most recent album, '' Fea Jur'', on October 13, 2009. They blend many genres into their music, including progressive rock, jazz fusion, and mathcore. After seven years as a musical project, the members went their separate ways in 2011. By late 2012, the band's dissolution was confirmed by both former vocalist Tony Saputo and former drummer Drew Button, although no official breakup announcement was ever made. History After they formed, they self-produced and released a five track EP, "The Fabulous" in 2004. In May 2006, they released their debut album "Arrangements For Fulminating Vective" on Lambgoat Records. The album was mixed by Eric Rachel and mastered by Alan Douches. Mathcore
Mathcore is a subgenre of hardcore punk and metalcore influenced by post-hardcore, extreme metal and math rock that developed during the 1990s. Bands in the genre emphasize complex and fluctuant rhythms through the use of irregular time signatures, polymeters, syncopations and tempo changes. Early mathcore lyrics were addressed from a realistic worldview and with a pessimistic, defiant, resentful or sarcastic point of view. In the 1990s, the hardcore punk scene started to embrace extreme metal openly. It also started to become highly ideological, with most of the popular bands being part of subcultures. Jazz Fusion
Jazz fusion (also known as fusion and progressive jazz) is a music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and jazz improvisation, improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. Electric guitars, amplifiers, and keyboards that were popular in rock and roll started to be used by jazz musicians, particularly those who had grown up listening to rock and roll.
