Lyceum Pirates
The LPU Pirates are the athletic teams that represent the Lyceum of the Philippines University and plays in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), the oldest athletic association in the Philippines. Lyceum has fifteen collegiate men's varsity teams that participate in fifteen sporting events of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), its mother league. They are popularly known as the "Pirata ng Intramuros". The women's varsity team is called the Lady Pirates, which plays in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) while the high school varsity basketball team is from the Cavite Campus' International High School which is called the Junior Pirates. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)Pronounced "N-C-A-A". is an athletics association of ten private colleges and universities in Metro Manila, Philippines. Michael Christopher "Topex" Robinson (born December 25, 1974) is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player who serves as the head coach of the De La Salle Green Archers of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). He last coached the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted forty-fourth overall by the Tanduay Rhum Masters. Playing career Robinson played point guard. He played for Montaña in the PBL and was then signed as a free agent by Yeng Guiao in 2003 to play for Red Bull Thunder as a backup point guard. The San Sebastian Golden Stags (also known as SSC-R Stags) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball team of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos. Their 5 consecutive NCAA seniors basketball championships was the longest streak in the NCAA. The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Stags. University of Perpetual Help System DALTA hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on July 2, 2011 followed by a triple-header game. 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship
The 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship was the third tournament of the Philippine Collegiate Championship (PCC) for basketball in its current incarnation, and the eighth edition overall. The champion teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) and 3 other Metro Manila leagues took part in the final tournament dubbed as the "Sweet Sixteen". The Home and Away Invitational League was an intercollegiate basketball and volleyball league in the Philippines formed in 2004. It was administered by a group led by Far Eastern University Athletic Heads Anton Montinola and Mark Molina. Chico A. Lanete (born August 1, 1979) is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player. He is the head coach for the Chooks-to-Go 3x3 pro circuit teams. Gary Ocampo David (born July 13, 1978) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). National Capital Region Athletic Association
The National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) is an athletic association in Metro Manila (National Capital Region), Philippines established in 1993. It is primarily held during the second semester of a school around November until February. The 23rd season of the NCRAA was opened on January 23, 2016, at the DLSU-D Gym in Dasmariñas, Cavite. De La Salle-Dasmariñas is the tournament host for this season. Basketball and Volleyball are the centerpiece sports of the league but it also stage several events as well. In 2016, the league merged with the Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association to become the NCR-UCL Athletic Association. However, the merger only lasted for one season and was dissolved at the end of its maiden season. NCRAA will be operating again as a separate entity beginning in November 2017.
