Lupong Tagapagpaganap Ng Pook
The Lupong Tagapagpaganap ng Pook (LTP; ) was the executive body for the two former autonomous regions of Western Mindanao and Central Mindanao in the Philippines. Chairman Each of the LTP was headed by the Lupon Chairman which directly reported to the President of the Philippines. Holders of the position were also the chairman of their respective region's Regional Development Councils. The chairman was responsible for the implementation or supervision of the implementation of policies, programs and legislations enacted by the ''Sangguniang Pampook'' (Regional Legislative Assembly). The Chairman could approve or veto any legislation proposed by the ''Sangguniang Pampook''. In the case of the latter, the legislature could override a veto by a two-thirds majority vote. The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ( tl, Rehiyong Awtonomo ng Muslim Mindanao; ar, الحكم الذاتي الاقليمي لمسلمي مندناو ''Al-ḥukm adh-dhātī al-'iqlīmī li-muslimī Mindanāu''; abbreviated as ARMM) was an autonomous region of the Philippines, located in the Mindanao island group of the Philippines, that consisted of five predominantly Muslim provinces: Basilan (except Isabela City), Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. It was the only region that had its own government. The region's ''de facto'' seat of government was Cotabato City, although this self-governing city was outside its jurisdiction. Regional Development Council
Regional Development Councils (RDCs) are the highest policy-making body governing the administrative regions of the Philippines. They serve as the subnational counterpart of the National Economic and Development Authority. All but two (Metro Manila and Bangsamoro) of the Philippines 17 regions has a Regional Development Council although Metro Manila has a metropolitan body which serves the same function as an RDC. Bangsamoro, an autonomous region, also has its own equivalent to a RDC. Metro Manila is recognized in law as a "special development and administrative region," and was thus given a metropolitan authority; the Metro Manila Council within the MMDA serves as the National Capital Region's RDC. Ulbert Ulama Tugung
Ulbert Ulama “Bob” Tugung (November 10, 1939 – November 22, 1986) was a Filipino teacher, newsman, and politician. He served as Chairman of the Lupong Tagapagpaganap ng Pook (LTP) of Autonomous Region IX in Mindanao from 1979 until his assassination in 1986. Early life and education Ulama was born on November 10, 1939, in Bongao, Sulu (now Tawi-Tawi) to Hadji Pangalampas Tugung and Hadja Naradja. He graduated valedictorian at Tubig-Indanan Elementary School (now Panglima Ibrahim Elementary School) in Simunul then went to Notre Dame of Bongao for high school. He obtained his law degree from the Zamboanga A.E. Colleges (now Universidad de Zamboanga) in Zamboanga City. Fresh out of college, he ran for mayor at the age of 23 in the 1961 local elections in Bongao but did not succeed. The following year, he married Elnorita Pamaran of Lamitan, Basilan. Elnorita Pamaran Tugung (September 20, 1939 – December 8, 2019) was a Filipino politician who served as Lupon Chairman of the nominal autonomous region of Western Mindanao (Region IX). She was also a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines for Basilan's lone district from 1992 to 1995. Simeon Datumanong (June 17, 1935 – February 28, 2017) was a Filipino Muslim politician who held different government positions including being a representative of the lone district of Maguindanao in the House of Representatives of the Philippines.
