The Romani (also spelled Romany or Rromani , ), colloquially known as the Roma, are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group, traditionally nomadic itinerants. They live in Europe and Anatolia, and have diaspora populations located worldwide, with significant concentrations in the Americas. Nonesuch Records is an American record company and label owned by Warner Music Group, distributed by Warner Records (formerly called Warner Bros. Records), and based in New York City. The Carolina Chocolate Drops were an old-time string band from Durham, North Carolina. Their 2010 album, ''Genuine Negro Jig,'' won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, and was number 9 in ''fRoots'' magazine's top 10 albums of 2010. Aaron Goldsmith (musician)
Aaron Goldsmith (born August 29, 1983, in Wichita, Kansas) is an American sportscaster who does lead play-by-play on selected games for Root Sports Northwest during the Seattle Mariners baseball season. In the off-season, he provides play-by-play for Pac-12 basketball on Fox Sports 1. Early years Goldsmith was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He obtained a History degree from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois. Career Upon graduation, Goldsmith began play-by-play broadcasting as an intern for Gateway Grizzlies games. In 2007, Goldsmith provided 2-innings of play-by-play for each home game. Goldsmith followed this up with an unpaid internship with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League, and then a similar position with the Portland Sea Dogs. Rima, also known as Rima the Jungle Girl, is the fictional heroine of W. H. Hudson's 1904 novel '' Green Mansions: A Romance of the Tropical Forest''. In it, Rima, a primitive girl of the shrinking rain forest of South America, meets Abel, a political fugitive. A film adaptation of ''Green Mansions'' was made in 1959 starring Audrey Hepburn.
