Lukas Van Eenoo
Lukas Van Eenoo (; born 6 February 1991) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Belgian First Division A club Westerlo. Career Van Eenoo made his debut for the first team of Cercle Brugge during the Bruges derby against Club Brugge. He was a substitute for Honour Gombami. Van Eenoo also played for various Belgian national youth teams. On 22 July 2010, he scored his first senior team goal in a UEFA Europa League qualifying match against Turun Palloseura, thereby securing a place for his team in the third round of qualification. Union SG became champions on 13 March 2021, returning to the highest level of Belgian football for the first time since the 1972–73 season. 2019–20 Belgian First Division B
The 2019–20 season of the Belgian First Division B began in August 2019 and was scheduled to end in April 2020 but will eventually conclude on 2 August 2020 with the return leg of the promotion playoff. Since mid-March all matches had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, which was just a few days before the return leg of the promotion play-offs was to be played. A few weeks later, Lokeren was declared bankrupt and ceased to exist, while both Roeselare and Virton were refused a professional football license due to financial difficulties, meaning they were both relegated and no relegation play-offs were necessary. On 15 May 2020, the general meeting of the Belgian Pro League clubs decided to end the season, with the exception of the return leg of the promotion play-offs. 2018–19 Belgian First Division B
The 2018–19 season of the Belgian First Division B began in August 2018 and ended in April 2019. It was the third season of the First Division B following a change in league format from the old Belgian Second Division. The season was impacted by the 2017–19 Belgian football fraud scandal which most notably involved Mechelen, as it was unclear upon completion of the season whether and how any involved clubs would be sanctioned and what the effect would be on the number of promotion and relegation places. As a result, Mechelen won the title and celebrated promotion on 16 March 2019, following a win over Beerschot Wilrijk in the promotion-playoffs, although the verdict on the investigation was still pending.
