Luka Dončić
Luka Dončić ( ; ; born February 28, 1999) is a Slovenian professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the Slovenian national team. Born in Ljubljana, Dončić shone as a youth player for Union Olimpija before joining the youth academy of Real Madrid. In 2015 he made his debut for the academy's senior team at age 16, becoming the youngest in club history. Two years later, he led Madrid to the 2018 EuroLeague title, winning the EuroLeague MVP and the Final Four MVP. Dončić was named the ACB Most Valuable Player and won back-to-back EuroLeague Rising Star and ACB Best Young Player awards. In addition, he was selected to the EuroLeague 2010–20 All-Decade Team. The Dallas Mavericks (often referred to as the Mavs) are an American professional basketball team based in Dallas. EuroLeague Rising Star
The EuroLeague Rising Star in an annual award of the EuroLeague, which is the top-tier level European-wide professional club basketball league, that is given to the player the EuroLeague deems its "top rising star". The award began in the 2004–05 season, and the winner is selected by the EuroLeague's head coaches. 2016 Copa Del Rey De Baloncesto
The 2016 Copa del Rey de Baloncesto was the 80th edition of the Spanish King's Basketball Cup. It was managed by the ACB and was held in A Coruña, in the Coliseum on February 18–21, 2016. The ACB Most Valuable Player Award is an annual award of the Liga ACB, the top-tier professional basketball league in Spain. The ACB handed out the award first after the 1991–92 ACB season. Since then, four players have won the award more than once: Darryl Middleton (3-time winner), Arvydas Sabonis, Tanoka Beard, and Luis Scola (2-time winners). Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league.
