Luka Bojić
Luka Bojić ( sr-Cyrl, Лука Бојић; born 9 April 1992) is a Montenegrin footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Club career He started in his hometown club Budućnost Podgorica. In 2013, he spent some time on loan with Zeta. In 2016, he played for Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje. Later that year, he moved to Canadian Soccer League side Serbian White Eagles. With the club, he won the 2016 CSL Championship, scoring a goal in the championship final. He stayed with the club until the conclusion of the 2019 season. International career Bojić made fifteen appearances for the Montenegro national under-19 team from 2010 to 2011. Podgorica (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; Literal translation, lit. 'under the hill') is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The city was formerly known as Titograd (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Титоград, ) between 1946 and 1992—in the period that Montenegro formed, as the Socialist Republic of Montenegro in honour of Marshal of Yugoslavia, Marshal Josip Broz Tito. The city was largely destroyed during the bombing of Podgorica in World War II and accordingly the city is now dominated by architecture from the following decades of communism. 2016 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2016 Canadian Soccer League season (known as the Givova Canadian Soccer League for sponsorship reasons) was the 19th season under the Canadian Soccer League name. The first match of the season was played on May 21, 2016, and ended on October 30, 2016. The season concluded with Serbian White Eagles claiming their second CSL Championship by defeating expansion franchise Hamilton City SC by a score of 2-1. In the Second Division, the York Region Shooters B defeated Toronto Atomic FC B 2-1. The 2012–13 Montenegrin Cup was the seventh season of the Montenegrin knockout football tournament. The winner of the tournament received a berth in the first qualifying round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. The defending champions were Čelik, who beat Rudar in the final of the 2011–12 competition. The competition featured 30 teams. The Montenegrin Cup ( Montenegrin and Serbian: ''Kup Crne Gore'') is the national football cup played in Montenegro, established in 2006. The winner of the cup is awarded a spot in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League if they have not already gained a spot in the UEFA Champions League. Most successful participant until now was FK Rudar with four titles, followed by FK Budućnost with three and OFK Titograd who won it twice. History Before independence Since 1946, Montenegrin football clubs played in the SFR Yugoslavia football system, so in the period 1947-1992 they participated in Yugoslav Cup. The 2011–12 Montenegrin First League was the sixth season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 6 August 2011 and ended on 30 May 2012, with a winter break beginning on 8 December 2011. Mogren are the defending champions. Teams Bar were directly relegated to the Montenegrin Second League after finishing 12th at the end of last season; the club returned to the second level after just one year. Their place was taken by 2010–11 Second League champions Bokelj, who returned to the top league of Montenegro after an absence of three seasons. 10th-placed Mornar and 11th-placed Sutjeska had to compete in two-legged relegation play-offs.
