Luisa Stefani
Luisa Veras Stefani (born 9 August 1997) is a Brazilian professional tennis player. She is the first Brazilian woman to crack the WTA top 10. She made the milestone on 1 November 2021 when she rose two places to world No. 9 in doubles. On 20 May 2019, she reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 431. She had a career-high combined junior ranking of No. 10, on 30 March 2015. Stefani is a bronze medalist in women's doubles from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Representing Brazil, she partnered with Laura Pigossi to defeat Veronika Kudermetova and defending gold medalist Elena Vesnina in the bronze medal match. The 2019 French Open was a Grand Slam (tennis), major tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France, from 26 May to 9 June, comprising singles, doubles and mixed doubles play. Junior and wheelchair tournaments were also scheduled. 2021 Australian Open – Mixed Doubles
Two-time defending champion Barbora Krejčíková and her partner Rajeev Ram defeated Samantha Stosur and Matthew Ebden in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was the pair's second major mixed doubles title as a team, after their first at the 2019 Australian Open. They saved a match point en route to the title, in the second round against Ena Shibahara and Ben McLachlan. Krejčíková and Nikola Mektić were the defending champions, but chose to play separately this year. Elena Vesnina
Elena Sergeyevna Vesnina (born 1 August 1986) is a Russian former professional tennis player and a former world No. 1 in doubles. She is a four-time Grand Slam champion, having won the 2013 French Open, 2014 US Open, and 2017 Wimbledon Championships in women's doubles with compatriot Ekaterina Makarova, and the 2016 Australian Open in mixed doubles, partnering Bruno Soares. Vesnina also reached eight further major finals in women's doubles, and four in mixed doubles. Laura Pigossi Herrmann de Andrade (born 2 August 1994) is a Brazilian professional tennis player. She won a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, playing alongside Luisa Stefani. The WTA rankings are the ratings defined by the Women's Tennis Association, introduced in November 1975. Iga Świątek is the current world No. 1. Ranking method The WTA rankings are based on a rolling 52-week, cumulative system. A player's ranking is determined by her results at a maximum of 16 tournaments for singles and 11 for doubles and points are awarded based on how far a player advances in a tournament. The basis for calculating a player's ranking are those tournaments that yield the highest ranking points during the rolling 52-week period with the condition that they must include points from the 4 Grand Slams, the 4 Premier Mandatory tournaments and the WTA Finals.
