Luis Sánchez-Moreno Lira
Luis Sánchez-Moreno Lira (12 November 1925, Arequipa, Peru – 28 September 2009, Lima, Peru) was the Peruvian Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Arequipa. He was ordained a Roman Catholic priest with Opus Dei on 4 August 1957. He served as Archbishop of the archdiocese of Arequipa from 2 March 1996 until his retirement on 29 November 2003. Roman Catholic Priest
The priesthood is the office of the ministers of religion, who have been commissioned ("ordained") with the Holy orders of the Catholic Church. Technically, bishops are a priestly order as well; however, in layman's terms ''priest'' refers only to presbyters and pastors (parish priests).
