Luis Stadlober
Luis Stadlober (born 23 July 1991) is a former cross-country skier from Austria. He competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics. He announced his retirement from cross-country skiing in April 2019. He is the son of Austrian cross-country skier Alois Stadlober and Austrian alpine skier Roswitha Steiner, and older brother of cross-country skier Teresa Stadlober Teresa Stadlober (born February 1, 1993) is an Austrian cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skier. The 2015–16 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was the 35th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 27 November 2015 in Kuusamo, Finland, and ended on 12 March 2016 in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Therese Johaug set a new record for total points in one season, with 2681. Martin Johnsrud Sundby set a new men's record for total points in one season, with 2634. Sundby won 14 races during the season and surpassed Petter Northug's record of nine victories which he achieved in both 2009–10 and 2012–13. Johaug won 17 races during this season and equaled Marit Bjørgen's record from 2011–12; a record Johaug herself eclipsed with 20 victories in the 2019–20 season. The 41st FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were held from 20 February to 3 March 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol, Tyrol, Austria. It was the second time Seefeld in Tirol hosted the world championships, the event having been hosted there previously in 1985. Host selection Championships was awarded to Seefeld in Tirol in Tyrol in Austria during the FIS Congress from 1–6 June 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. Finalist applicants were Seefeld in Tirol (Austria), Oberstdorf (Germany), Planica (Slovenia) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). Oberstdorf had already applied for 2013, 2015 and 2017, Planica for 2017. Seefeld submitted its candidacy shortly before the deadline. The Austrian winter sports resort had hosted the Championships in 1985, the German resort of Oberstdorf in 1987 and 2005. Detailed application concepts were to be submitted by 1 September 2013.
