Luis Luque
Luis Luque, born Luis Antonio Pedro Barattero (June 12, 1956), is an Argentina, Argentine film and television actor. He has made over 40 appearances in film and television in Argentina since 1982, when he appeared in ''Aprender a vivir''. Many of his films have received critical acclaim, including ''Corazón iluminado'' (1996), ''Buenos Aires plateada'', and ''Cacería'' (2002), in which he played the lead role of Daniel. In 2004 he appeared as himself in ''18-j''. Paco (film)
''Paco'' is a 2009 Argentine drama film written and directed by Diego Rafecas. It was shot in Buenos Aires and South Africa. Synopsis The film is named after the protagonist Francisco Black aka "Paco" (Tomás Fonzi), a college student who starts using cocaine paste, a cocaine byproduct known as "paco". Son of a senator, Francisco falls in love with a cleaning worker. He follows her into Buenos Aires' underworld only to find that his girlfriend has committed suicide after accepting to prostitute herself in exchange for drugs. Seeking revenge, Francisco places a bomb in the drug factory murdering several innocents. As a result of being accused of terrorism charges, his mother uses his influences to try to exculpate him, but she is forced to confine him in a detox clinic, where Francisco finds a bunch of lost souls. ''Los simuladores'' ( en, The Pretenders) is an Argentine television series about a small team of con artists for hire, who use their skills to solve common people's life problems. The show ran for two seasons, from 2002 to 2004. It was very popular and highly acclaimed, winning a Golden Martín Fierro Award. A number of remakes have been produced for various markets worldwide. The original series was produced and aired by the Argentine network Telefé, and ran for two seasons (the first one with 13 episodes and the last one with 11) in 2002 and 2003. The series is occasionally shown in reruns on Telefé. Remakes were soon produced in Chile and in Spain (the latter produced by Cuatro), using some of the same actors and production members.
