Tai Po is an area in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It refers to the vicinity of the traditional market towns in the area presently known as Tai Po Old Market or Tai Po Kau Hui () (the original "Tai Po Market") on the north of Lam Tsuen River and the Tai Po Hui (the current Tai Po Market; historically Tai Wo Shi, literally ''Tai Wo market'') on Fu Shin Street on the south of the Lam Tsuen River, near the old Tai Po Market railway station of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (British Section). Both market towns became part of the Tai Po New Town in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In present-day usage, "Tai Po" may refer to the area around the original market towns, the Tai Po New Town (), or the entire Tai Po District. Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield
The Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield (), known commonly as the Senior Shield, is the football knockout inter-club competition held in Hong Kong and the fourth oldest football tournament in Asia. Traditionally, only the teams in the Hong Kong Premier League are entered into the competition. However, on occasion teams in lower divisions, usually the champions of the Junior Shield, are invited in order to increase the number of participating teams. The current Senior Shield holders are Eastern. History Hong Kong Football Cup was a knockout cup competition which was established in 1895. It had been renamed to Hong Kong Challenge Shield due to the changes of the trophy. It had been divided in Senior Shield and Junior Shield since 1922–23 season. Hong Kong Football Association Sapling Cup (), more commonly known as Sapling Cup (), is a Hong Kong domestic football competition contested by all the teams in the Hong Kong Premier League. The objective of the Cup is to provide more playing opportunities for youth players in Hong Kong. The champions will receive HK$100,000 in prize money while the runners up will receive HK$40,000. 2012–13 Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield is the 111th season of one of the Asian oldest football knockout competitions, Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield. The competition will be played in a two-legged tie, except for the final, which will be played in one match at Hong Kong Stadium. The winner will guarantee a place in the 2013 Hong Kong AFC Cup play-offs. Wofoo Tai Po won their first Senior Shield title as they defeated Citizen in the final by penalty shoot-out.
