Lucky Blondo
Lucky Blondo (born Gerard Blondiot, 23 July 1944 in Paris, France) is a French singer who was popular in the 1960s. His heyday came during the emergence of French rock. Career His main successes were "Sheila", "Baby Face", "Dix petits indiens", "Sur ton visage une larme" (a French version of the song "Una lacrima sul viso" by Bobby Solo), and "Des roses rouges pour un ange blond". He is one of the few French singers to have performed, in 1977, 33 tours in Nashville with The Jordanaires, the vocal group that sang with Elvis Presley. In 1978, still in Nashville, he recorded an album of covers entitled ''Ce vieux cow boy'', including, in particular, "Une santé dacier" and "On ne t'oubliera jamais". He then worked in advertising, before returning to singing in 2006 for a retro show. He lives in Audierne, a seaside city in southern Finistère, where he lived in the mid-1970s. French Rock
French rock is a form of rock music produced in France, primarily with lyrics in the French language. French rock was born as early as mid-1950s, when writer, songwriter and jazz player Boris Vian wrote parody rock songs for Magali Noël or Henri Salvador. Although Vian despised rock and wrote these songs as attacks, they are highly acclaimed by French critics today and considered precursors. Bobby Solo
Roberto Satti better known as Bobby Solo (born 18 March 1945) is an Italian singer, musician and film actor. Singing career In 1964, Solo participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song " Una lacrima sul viso" ("A Tear on your Face", written by "Lunero"), but affected by laryngitis, he sang with playback, which disqualified him as that was contrary to the festival regulations. The song, however, became a global hit. It was the first record to sell over one million copies in Italy, and global sales exceeded three million. It was awarded a gold disc. In the following year Solo won in the festival with the song "Se piangi, se ridi". He participated with the same song in the Eurovision Song Contest and finished in fifth place. The Jordanaires were an American vocal quartet that formed as a gospel group in 1948. Over the years, they recorded both sacred and secular music for recording companies such as Capitol Records, RCA Victor, Columbia Records, Decca Records, Vocalion Records, Stop Records, and many other smaller independent labels. In the mid-1950s, they also began lending their vocal talents to other artists as background singers in recording sessions.
