Lucky Akhand (7 June 1956 – 21 April 2017) was a Bangladeshi singer-composer. He was associated with the musical band ''Happy Touch''. He composed and gave vocal to songs including ''Ei Neel Monihar'', ''Aamay Deko Na'', ''Agey Jodi Janitam'', ''Riti Niti Janina'', ''Polatok Am'', ''Abar Elo Jey Shondhya'' ''Porichoy Kobe hobe'', ''Aj achhi kal nei'', ''Hotath kore Bangladesh'', , ''Bolechhile kal tumi asbe'', ''Tumi ke bolona'', , ''Mamonia'', and ''Shadhinota Tomake Niye''. He served as the music director of Bangladeshi national radio network Bangladesh Betar. Early life Akhand got music lessons at the age of five from his father. He performed in music programs for children on television and radio during 1963–1967. He was enlisted as a music composer of HMV Pakistan when he was 14 and a musician of HMV India at 16. Bangladesh Betar ( bn, বাংলাদেশ বেতার; ), or BB is the state-owned radio broadcaster of Bangladesh, initially established as the Dhaka station of All India Radio in 1939. It was later made part of Radio Pakistan. After the independence of the country in 1971, Radio Pakistan ceased transmissions there and the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra was renamed to Bangladesh Betar, which took full control of all radio stations in the country at the time. Happy Akhand (12 October 196028 December 1987) was a Bangladeshi rock singer, songwriter. He was one of the pioneering rock musicians in Bangladesh. He was the founding member of the rock band Miles. He is sometimes referred to as the ''Prince of Bangladeshi Music''. His notable songs include the title " আবার এলো যে সন্ধ্যা (The Evening is Here Again)", "কে বাঁশি বাজায় রে? Fahmida Nabi (born 4 January 1966) is a Bangladeshi singer. She usually vocalizes classical and modern-style songs. She also sang songs of Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti genre. Shubhashish Mazumder Bappa (born 5 February 1972), commonly known as Bappa Mazumder, is a Bangladeshi singer, lyricist and national film award winner composer. He is the lead singer of the rock band Dalchhut. Bappa is famous for his Bengali romantic compositions and is known as The Melody King of Bangladesh. Ark is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist Ashiquzzaman Tulu. The original founder members are Ashiquzzaman Tulu, Ridwan Nabi Pancham and Shamim. Syed Hasanur Rahman (born April 19, 1974) popularly known as Hasan, is a Bengali singer-songwriter and lead vocalist of the Bangladeshi popular Rock band ''Ark''. Faruq Mahfuz Anam (born 2 October 1964), known mononymously as James or Guru James, is a Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer, also known as a playback singer. He is the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the rock band Nagar Baul (previously ''Feelings''), which he founded in 1977. Tapan Chowdhury (born 7 January) is a Bangladeshi musician. He is a former member of the musical group Souls and is known for his modern (Adhunik) songs. He won Best Male Singer in 1st Meril-Prothom Alo Awards in 1998. Career Chowdhury was trained by Ustad Priyadaranjan Sen, Ustad Mihirlala and Pandit Sanjit Dey.
